Can I make this ornament pretty? 🎄✨

I love taking something simple and adding a little personality to it.

For this project, I took a plain ornament and turned it into something a little more special with paint and hand lettering.

It’s one of my favorite things about calligraphy: the opportunity to take an ordinary object and make it feel personal.

And yes, I’m making ornaments this year! I’m mostly working on both wooden but thought I would try playing around with clear plastic ornaments too.

The wooden ornaments can be personalized for your Christmas tree or given as a gift.

Can I make this butcher paper pretty? 💐

Sometimes, the smallest details can carry the most meaning.

For this project, I’m taking a simple sheet of white butcher paper and turning it into a hand-lettered “thinking of you” pattern to wrap around a bouquet of flowers.

These flowers are for someone remembering a loved one on the anniversary of their passing. It’s a small way to remind them that they’re loved, that someone is thinking of them, and that they don’t have to walk through grief alone.

Because making things pretty isn’t always about making something look beautiful. Sometimes, it’s about making someone feel loved.

🤍 Who could use a little reminder that someone is thinking of them today?

The holiday cards are coming, and I’m already thinking about the envelopes! ✉️

There’s something special about receiving a handwritten envelope in the mail. It’s a little detail that makes even an ordinary card feel more thoughtful.

Whether you’re sending Christmas cards to family and friends, holiday invitations, or a special note to someone you love, hand-lettered addressing adds a personal touch before the envelope is even opened.

And yes, I’d love to help make your holiday mail a little prettier!

Have a stack of envelopes you’d love addressed? Send me a message or email, and let’s talk about your project.

Enchiladas on the menu. Literally. 🌮✨

Who says you need a dinner party to make a pretty table?

Tonight’s menu: enchiladas, with a side of making things pretty. 😉

I used scraps of cardboard to make a little menu and place cards for my husband and me. Nothing fancy, just a little creativity and a reason to pull out my lettering supplies.

Because why save the pretty details for special occasions when you can make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little more special?

Now, the important question: What are we having for dessert? 😂

A little behind the scenes of making a Bible extra special. ✨📖

There’s something so lovely about turning your everyday Bible into something that feels uniquely yours.

Whether you have a favorite Bible verse, a meaningful phrase, or an idea for a thoughtful gift, I’d love to help you bring it to life with hand-applied foil lettering.

Not sure exactly what you want? We can work together to customize something just for you!

A little peek behind Audrey Writes Pretty ✨

I’m the person behind the pens, pretty paper, tiny details, and probably way too many ideas for things I could letter. 🤍

I’ve always loved taking something ordinary and making it feel a little more special — and that’s really where Audrey Writes Pretty began.

These days, I’m slowly bringing it back while balancing a full-time job, so things may be simple around here… but I’m having so much fun creating again.

Thanks for being here and following along! ✨
