!!GRADUATED!!

Forever grateful for this chapter and all it brought, the people, the lessons, and the struggle, which most definitely kept me honest. Growth isn’t always gentle, but it’s worth it. Here is a little something I wrote in remembrance of this chapter and its impact; a reminder to anyone who needs it :) ⇩ ⇩ ⇩

There were nights the college student sat alone under fluorescent lights, exhausted from trying to become “enough.”

The world told her success, grades, and achievement would finally make her worthy.

But the more she chased it, the emptier she felt.
The world said, “Be enough.”

So she prayed small prayers.
“Jesus, are You still here?”

And He was.

Not waiting for perfection.
Not leaving when faith felt weak.
Just staying.

Jesus whispered, “You never had to earn My love.”

And maybe that is the best part of growing up:
realizing God does not only live in churches, worship nights, or perfect moments.

He lives in dorm rooms where anxiety keeps people awake.
In cars where tears fall after hard exams.
In lonely walks back from class.
In the moments nobody applauds.

Jesus is still God in the middle of unfinished assignments and unfinished people.

The college girl thought she was falling apart and doing it all wrong.
But maybe God was teaching her that dependence is NOT weakness.

Maybe the struggle was making room for grace.

Because sometimes Jesus calms the storm.
And sometimes He climbs into the boat and lets you learn His voice through the waves.

One day she would look back and realize:
the degree was not the greatest thing she gained in college.

It was the quiet understanding that she was never abandoned.

Not once.
Not in the panic attacks before finals.
Not in the nights she questioned her purpose.
Not in the seasons where faith felt more like surviving than shining.

Degrees fade, achievements pass, and people leave.
But Jesus stays.
Always.
