from the archive ~ oct 2020 - music video/visualizer for a song called “9D” that never came out, it’s got @josefdiego on it at the end too - my day one 🥲
.
this was made using a program called magic music visualizer that i fell in love with around that time - many passes of various stems set to modulate various geometry, compiled and colored in final cut.
.
no ai in this one, but 2020 is actually when i started getting really into my experiments in that space - this one just doesn’t happen to have any. i’m usually working with several different workflows at a time trying to stay naïve and curious - finding ways to surrender overt control to the crossfire of processes itself, nudging only if it needs a nudge.
.
i reckon i’ll find some of those other experiments as i excavate more of these legacy works from the ole vault.

micro snippet from a little jam session a couple months ago with lucian and sander of @leftunsaidla
.
totally forgot to post this at the time because i was entering another of my multi-month social cocoons. if you’re into vibe-science-y synth-jazz and live drums with the precision of a sewing machine, be sure check these guys out - they just dropped a record as well :)
.
it’s been quite a year of cocooning but i really can’t wait to cook more (and eventually get my ass back to @sunlandsunspace where i met lucian and sander in the first place !) by @august.kamp

look here ! i’ve brought you a two-minute-ish, abstract, vertical, not-so-still life to ease your weary disembodied mind as you wander this endless digital corridor. linger and be curious a moment, will you ? rest before more travels :)
.
if you end up feeling a sense of stillness afterwards - yay ! perhaps you can take such an opportunity to escape a loop you may have been looping. to pet a dog or a cat.

this song is called “other agents” - it will be on my ambient album: please personify, which is coming in november. by @august.kamp

“nothing can say goodbye” little WIP snippet
.
with the exception of the harmony on one line - this is all one take of output from the KO sidekick (interface) doing straight into my phone. the delay on the sidekick makes a great reverb if you set it to be short and kinda quiet.
