Welcome to the insta of American University Mock Trial! ⚖️💯

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

And with that the 2024/2025 season comes to an end. AUMT took home its highest placement at the National Championship Tournament since 2016! Walking home with a ninth place trophy, we are so so proud of this group of mockers. 😎🫡

Fact #1: they started off strong. Team Law and Disorder’s legendary run started back in December when they went 8-0, heading home with the first place trophy from CUBAIT. Never satisfied, they flew across the country to the West Coast to compete at UCI’s Beach Party Invitational. Then it was time to take a break from far travels and hit three at-home tournaments. They knocked out their final invitational with Georgetown’s Hilltop…the next stop: AMTA’s competitive season. ✈️🚗

Fact #2: they persisted. Team Law and Disorder lugged hardware home from Regionals with the second bid out and four individual awards. At ORCS, this team refused to be discouraged by some close call honorable mentions in the past. They were eager to be in the room where it happens, and they rose up to secure the first bid out of the Washington, D.C. ORCS and an additional three individual awards—ready for their first appearance on the Nationals stage since 2022. 🪵🥇

That all brings us to fact #3: they left it all in Cleveland. At AMTA’s 40th National Championship Tournament, AUMT was a force to be reckoned with, taking home 8.5 ballots and the ninth place trophy in the Stokes division. And an extra big shout out for @mittycheria for bringing home an All-American witness award on the plaintiff! 🎖️

While we are so sad this season is over, we are beyond grateful for the experiences along the way. We got to connect with several different programs both before Nationals and at the tournament itself. As we reflect on this past season, it’s a huge accomplishment to have come this far, and we cannot wait to see what this program is capable of achieving next year...see you then! GO EAGLES!!!! 🦅🏆❤️⚖️ by @aumocktrial

“ ‘Cause when the sun goes down, the Beast™️ comes out…” or whatever Waka Flocka said.

Last weekend, AUMT and The Beasts ™️ went #downtown and competed in AMTA’s 41st National Championship Tournament. Here’s the situation:

🏆AUMT competed on our home turf, earned a winning record of 8-4, and placed 5th in the Mount Vernon division.

🏅 AUMT brought home an All-American Attorney @amandaparks217, who earned 27 ranks on the prosecution!

🍦Our hard work and success was entirely fueled by Rita’s Italian Ice, and we owe most of our gratitude to Rita and her epic gelatis.

While we are sad our season has come to an end, we couldn’t be prouder of this team. Congratulations to The Beasts ™️ for being a top 5 team at Nationals. Thank you to our coaches for their endless support.

Thank you @gwtrial for hosting Nationals! WE SHALL SEE YOU ALL NEXT SEASON 🔥 by @aumocktrial
