Most babies take their first steps between 9 and 18 months, with many walking around 12 months. Every baby develops at their own pace, so a little earlier or later can be completely normal! 💛

Here's a general timeline:

6–10 months: Sitting well, crawling, or scooting.
8–12 months: Pulling up to stand and cruising along furniture.
9–18 months: Taking first independent steps and gradually learning to walk confidently.
There's a wide range of normal development. Some babies walk as early as 9 months, while others don't walk until 17 or 18 months and are still developing typically.

If a child is not walking by 18 months, it's a good idea to discuss it with their pediatrician. They can evaluate whether any additional assessment is needed. by @aumon
