@aumsounds is the artistic identity of Omkar Naik, a Mumbai-based producer and DJ whose music moves along the edges of tribal, deep, and ritualistic electronic sound. The name carries its full meaning: Aum - the original sound from which all existence emanates, the ultimate reality distilled into a single resonance.

His relationship with music began on the guitar, drawn early to the progressive and the polyrhythmic - rock and metal. When Psy-trance introduced him to electronic music, he found himself pulled not toward the euphoric or the cerebral, but toward the raw sounds of nature, hypnotic rhythms, the organic pulse beneath the synthetic surface. All of it is what Aumsounds seeks to embody, regardless of genre - music made without compromise, on his own terms.

Previously releasing under the name Aumcore, this is his debut under the Aumsounds moniker out on Sonic Perception, the independent label he co-founded. Built not just as a platform for music releases, but as an ecosystem for electronic musicians from India. The vision is simple: to give homegrown talent the recognition it deserves. by @aumsounds
