Still feels unreal 🥹✨

So grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and for making it all the way to the finals on Holiday Bakeshop. Every bake carried a piece of my heart, my roots, and my story. I’m incredibly proud to represent Asian culture throughout this competition and to showcase so many Asian-inspired flavours on such a big stage.

Shoutout to the amazing Bakeshop family ❤️ It was truly an honour to bake alongside such a talented group of bakers. I’m so grateful for the friendships that came out of this experience. @bakedbykylec @snocos__ @chef_dwight_penney @heycakethis @madamediboulesgateaux @brianbakescakes @rab_pastries

I walked into this finale just hoping to execute my vision properly. That’s it.

To hear words like “perfect execution” and “magnificent” from the judges… I honestly had to hold back tears. I wasn’t expecting that at all.

I just wanted to represent Asian flavours in a way that felt authentic to me — balanced, intentional, and refined. This piece wasn’t about being flashy. It was about honouring my roots and the flavours that shaped me.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it 🤍
Moments like this remind me why I keep showing up — even on the days filled with doubt.

Thank you for believing in my craft and for giving me the space to proudly showcase Asian flavours on this stage 🥰

To the working mom who is constantly switching hats - I see you.🤍

The meetings. The deadlines. The dinner. The bedtime routine. The mental note that somehow never switches off.

Some days you feel like you’re crushing it. Other days, you’re just trying to make it to bedtime.

And if no one has told you lately: you’re doing a good job!

You don’t have to be perfect at work.
You don’t have to be perfect at home.
You are allowed to be ambitious AND present.
You are allowed to want more AND feel exhausted.

𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙖𝙬 𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.

You didn’t see the nights I cried alone. The mornings I had to convince myself to get out of bed. The moments I questioned whether I would ever feel like myself again. The setbacks I didn’t post. The days I smiled, showed up, and pretended I was okay because I didn’t know how to explain that I wasn’t.
You saw the growth. I lived through the mess.

And honestly? 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙮.

I used to think healing meant reaching a point where the pain disappeared. Now I understand that sometimes healing is simply learning how to carry your pain differently. It’s asking for help. It’s starting over. It’s choosing yourself on the days you don’t feel worthy of choosing. It’s falling apart and still finding a reason to try again the next morning.
I’m sharing this because someone watching this might be in a chapter they’re too ashamed to talk about.

𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨: 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨.

On World Suicide Prevention Day, I want to talk about the part we’re often afraid to talk about.

The ugly part. The uncomfortable part. The part where you’re not okay.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for someone who is struggling is make them feel less alone.

So check on your people. Ask twice. Listen. Stay.

And if you’re the one struggling, please reach for someone. You don’t have to have the right words. You just have to start somewhere.
