My sweet baby Broadway crossed the rainbow bridge today 💔

We truly don’t deserve animals, and I’m forever thankful for the day he found me (second picture) on April 19, 2011. Nearly 16 years of unconditional love, endless cuddles, and the sweetest soul. He even turned @wlpwr into a cat lover. 🥹

The first photo was taken during his final moments, and I’m so grateful they were spent at home, surrounded by comfort, love, and our little family. His body had a rough journey toward the end, but his spirit never stopped fighting, and he never stopped giving love.

Run free, my sweet Broadway boy. You’ll always be a part of me. Until we meet again. 🤍🐾 by @auntietessa

A year ago today, we made a promise, and took vows that meant everything to me. I’ll always be thankful for the love, hope, and commitment that filled that day.

Here’s to the love that brought us here, the grace that carries us forward, and all the beautiful moments still waiting to be written. To more life with the love of mine @wlpwr taken in Soufrière, Saint Lucia by @auntietessa

I am so excited to share that I’ve joined the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my voice, contribute to the Grammy Awards process, and be part of conversations that help move our industry forward.

Music is shaped by so many voices, genres, backgrounds, and perspectives, and I’m proud to add mine to the mix.

Extra thanks and gratitude to @chrisoglesby and @tammyhurt for their support on this journey!

Just read an incredible article from @donnyslater that was such an interesting read. I’ll pin the article in the comments.

“Real recognize real” has always been my motto.

One of the biggest lessons I learned as a teacher is that authenticity can’t be faked. Kids know it. They’ll call you out every time. The music industry isn’t much different.

I’ve been in this business for a long time now.
I’ve heard every opinion imaginable, from people at every level of the industry, about what works, what doesn’t, who’s next, and what it takes.

At this point, I’ve learned to trust my instincts.

I know great music when I hear it. I know authenticity when I see it, and I know a star when I see one.

I’ve watched @caskey build a community that doesn’t just love his music, they connect with who he is. His honesty, his perspective, and the way he shows up for people are rare.

Not to mention his pen is ridiculous 🥴
So, then there’s the music.

I’ve had a front-row seat to watching @wlpwr pour countless hours into not only this project, but into his genius for years. The level of intention, creativity, and detail in these records is something most people will never see. It’s some of the most inspired work I’ve ever witnessed.

I genuinely believe this project is going to change the game, on everything I love, with every egg in the same basket.

Remember this post.

You heard it here first.

Now let me get my money right. 🤍 by @auntietessa
