I think we grow up and somewhere along the way we stop believing in magic.

But then Mother Nature does this every autumn and I’m like… how is this not magic? 🍂 by @auntiewasright

I used to think forgiveness was something you gave to another person.

Now I think sometimes it’s something you give to yourself 💚.

I may never know why that friendship changed. Maybe she had her reasons. Maybe there are things I could have done differently too.

But I do know that replaying it, questioning it and quietly resenting it wasn’t changing what happened.

It was just keeping me stuck there.

So I’m learning to let go of things I may never get an explanation for.

Not because they didn’t matter.

Because I matter too much to keep carrying them.

If you’re figuring out friendships, relationships, getting older and all the messy bits of being human too, follow me. I’m talking about more of the things we all feel but don’t always say out loud. 🤍 by @auntiewasright

I love this quote “Anxiety is what happens when your energy has nowhere to go. Move your body.” 🧠

It so true.

If I don’t move my body for a while I can really feel it in my mind, I feel grey and stale.

You don’t need to be really into running or someone who is in the gym daily, but it’s important to find ways to move your energy around your body, especially in the morning. It’s so good for your mental health.

If you like this video, I’ll show you the other way I do it: my 15 minute dance routine I do when I make a coffee before work. Though, Beyoncé may get jealous… 🙋🏼‍♀️✨ by @auntiewasright

I am slightly obsessed with the butterfly effect. 🦋

Doing my Googling, I saw it’s a concept from chaos theory that says tiny changes at the start of something can lead to wildly different outcomes later on. Hence the famous idea of a butterfly flapping its wings and changing the weather somewhere else.

And I think that’s SUCH an exciting way to look at life.

You could say yes to a job, book a random flight, meet someone for coffee… and have absolutely no idea what you’ve just set in motion.

Imagine what your life could look like in five years because of one little decision you make today?!

Anyway, here’s to being a bit more daring. Who knows where we’ll end up. 💚 by @auntiewasright

I have spent an embarrassing amount of my life trying to work out what somebody meant by a perfectly ordinary sentence. 🙈

And sometimes I still do.

But I’ve learnt that it’s quite difficult to overthink a conversation when you’re busy conducting a very serious biscuit taste test.

I’m not saying a Jammie Dodger will solve all your problems. Although im not, not saying that either 😉.

Sometimes you just need to give your brain something else to think about. Preferably something completely ridiculous.

Anyway, which one are you trying? I’m particularly interested in the biscuits.

And if you’re new here, I’m Victoria. Big fan of life and finding the funny side of the things we overthink 💚✨ by @auntiewasright

seeing beauty in the ordinary, vol. 01 🍂

sometimes the best part of making plans is everything that happens around them. the getting ready, the anticipation, the conversations that go on far longer than expected.

it’s never really just lunch, is it? 💚 by @auntiewasright

Some friendships just hit differently.

You meet someone and somehow skip the awkward getting to know you bit. Suddenly you’re talking like you’ve been friends for 20 years.

And when life takes you in different directions, God, you miss them.

But how lucky are we to have met them at all? 💚✨

Here’s to the friends who leave a little mark on us, however long they’re around. ☕️

…inspired by a conversation I had with one of my gorgeous community ✨💚 by @auntiewasright

Sometimes the decision feels terrifying because we’re treating it like we have to know the ending before we even begin.

We don’t. We’re not psychic. 😂

You’re allowed to make a decision without making it a life sentence. ✨ by @auntiewasright

As someone with a fear of heights, I spent the entire cable car wondering why I’d voluntarily put myself through this. But I’m so glad I did ✨ That’s the thing, you can be so scared of something, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go for it. Do it scared 💚 Overtime you will build confidence and it won’t feel so scary anymore. by @auntiewasright

I spent years thinking I was ‘thick’ 🙈 but it turns out I just wasn’t massively academic. What a waste of time that was…

There are so many ways you can be smart. Be proud of the type of smart you are. We need more people like you ✨ by @auntiewasright

I couldn’t really afford to play tennis until my 30s and even now, sometimes I only play once a month.

But I’ve realised a hobby doesn’t have to take over your life to count. You don’t have to be good at it or do it constantly. Sometimes it’s enough to have something that gets you out of your usual routine and feels like yours. 🎾

What’s the hobby you started later and love to talk about? 💚 by @auntiewasright
