Worked out again for the first time in a while today. I started in 2023 seriously and it’s been quite a journey. Honestly, the biggest reason I started was that I wanted to get rid of my bingo wings 😂

I used to get a lot of migraines and they stopped almost completely for a couple years. I was sick of feeling “weak” all the time. After a while I started to feel so many positive changes in the body and mind and emotions. I felt more balanced, had more energy and felt stronger altogether which feels really good.

Since then, I’ve read so much about how good and important strength training and working out is for people over 40 (especially). It even helps things like brain function and helps keep your bones safe and strong. Anyway, I’m a big advocate and I highly recommend it to stay active and healthy!

I was in Europe for all of July. I went to this incredibly charming place in the UK —Buckfastleigh, and did a full day workshop with Frank Marrero on the Heart of Parenting there. During one of the games we played, I got to play the drum kit which is always one of my favorite instruments to play! We had 21 marvelous participants and I made some lovely new friends!

Then, I embarked on a kids retreat for a few days which was one of the best yet. Great group of kids and parents and a couple of new teammates to work with that completely saved my butt! Sharing some fun and funny moments here. The retreat was magical and I am so grateful to my new teammates as well!

The whole trip was very full and filled with fun, wonder, mystery, friendship, and family.

Snippets of my trip to Europe in July! I got some beautiful sightseeing in the UK and the Netherlands, depthful workshops, sacred music, and a most wonderful kids retreat to top it all off! I met some new lifelong friends that I just LOVE and am so grateful for!
So, in short, it was beautiful, happy, full of wonder, going beyond, and joy! 🙏🏼💕🥳🌈🎶 by @aurabakker

I have had the great pleasure lately of doing music with toddlers at @thegrovehvl 🎶💃🥁🎸

This is one of my all-time favorite things to do! And The Grove is such a great place with so many fun things for kids to do and enjoy 😍

If you live in Lake County and you have a little one, definitely come check it out. 🥳🩷 by @aurabakker

A new song 🎶 Above the Clouds ⛅️
It was inspired by my trip to Europe.
The later part of the trip had me dealing with a lot of anxiety and I really had to practice connecting with the Reality beyond this physical predicament we are all in. I had to feel “the sun above the clouds”. It made space for more compassion.

“Above the clouds, There Is Always The Sun—Forever Free Of Earthly weather.
By Tendency, You Are Always Looking At the local weather and Not At The Sun Itself.”
—Adi Da Samraj

This song is for everyone’s inner child.

Ok— finally doing some photo dumps of our recent trip to Europe! It was quite a happy adventure— a time of personal growth and a lot of blessing… AND fun with you @deb_helleren 😍 I am going to start back to front here with Sintra, Portugal. This was the leg of the trip where I left my phone in the Netherlands by mistake .. and my make-up. 💄 so Deb, thank you for taking all these fabulous pictures to capture our adventures there. We thought we were going to a place where it is beautiful weather and all we got was a horrendous storm in the freezing cold that lasted the literal amount of time we were there 😂 but, we had a great conscious parenting workshop, met some really lovely people, and Portugal is beautiful regardless of the weather! ❤️

🎆 Happy New Year 🎆
Today I felt like sharing this song of mine that seems apt for New Year’s Day. Come to rest—come to love—come to pray—come for peace— in this little temple.
May you find and feel this! I wish you Happiness and Strength in 2025. 💕
Love,
Aura
