Language courses at AUR incorporate on-site activities such as going to Trastevere, getting to know the territory, and learning about local history and culture. This way, students are encouraged to explore shops, eateries, and use their Italian out in the city of Rome.

In Prof. Luciana D’Arcangeli's ITL 100 class, they started at the Fontanone and made their way down from there, discovering sets of steps, road names, gelaterie, ufficio postale, nail salons, etc. taken in Santa Maria in Trastevere by @auritalianstudiesprogram
