Así vivimos el I Encuentro Vocal de Madrid. ❤️ Unos días intensos de canto, repertorio, escena, conversación, aprendizaje y mucha música. Este carrusel recoge solo una parte de todo lo que ocurrió durante el Encuentro, pero refleja bien el ambiente de trabajo, intercambio y entusiasmo que se creó entre alumnos, profesores y profesionales invitados. Gracias a todas las personas que lo hicieron posible y que confiaron en esta primera edición. Nos quedamos con muchas ganas de seguir construyendo. Canto y técnica vocal con Aurora Peña y repertorio con Giorgio Celenza dirigido a estudiantes de canto lírico y cantantes líricos energentes junto a profesionales de distintos ámbitos del sector. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overwhelming Debut of the Humboldt Orchestra at the Halle Handel Festival with “The Dragon of Wantley”. The Humboldt Orchestra delivered an impactful debut in Halle with The Dragon of Wantley, under the direction of Michal Form, in a performance that combined theatrical drive, stylistic precision, and contagious energy. The production featured the quartet of soloists Yannis François, Oliver Johnston, Aurora Peña, and Idunnu Münch, whose exceptional artistry and dramatic flair earned an overwhelming success that confirmed the ensemble’s outstanding artistic momentum. The burlesque opera sounded with the stylistic solidity that Michal Form brings, a director closely linked to the Baroque repertoire and with extensive international opera experience. The cast was led by Yannis François, whose versatile and commanding presence brought both The Dragon and Gaffer Gubbins to life with remarkable vocal power and theatrical wit; Oliver Johnston, who sang Moore of Moore Hall with a rich, resonant tone and a Naturally authoritative Style; Aurora Peña, whose Margery shone with delicate beauty, expressive nuance, and a captivating lyrical elegance; and Idunnu Münch, who portrayed Mauxalinda with vibrant coloratura, dramatic intelligence, and a glamour that electrified the stage. The balance between these four outstanding voices and the theatrical character of the score reinforced the festive and satirical tone of the work. The Humboldt Orchestra offered a lively, flexible reading with notable cohesion. Its profile, oriented toward a broad repertoire with emphasis on historically informed practice, fits particularly well with this type of 18th-century musical theater. In Halle, the ensemble left the impression of a group with tight ensemble playing, clear articulation, and the ability to respond naturally to the dramatic demands of the score, with a special protagonism within the overall performance.
