Esse vídeo é de um ensaio de Blake Works I - com @davidmottasoares - o último antes do meu espetáculo no dia 29 de janeiro. Já estava lesionada, mas esse espetáculo era especial pra mim e eu sabia que precisava dançar.

Desde então, precisei parar completamente. Meu objetivo era voltar para os dois últimos espetáculos de Blake Works I e Approximate Sonata - hoje, 18 de abril, e no dia 25. Mas o processo de recuperação está levando mais tempo do que eu esperava.

💔 É frustrante, claro. Queria estar dançando hoje - e não poder fazer isso me toca emocionalmente. Mas eu respeito o tempo do meu corpo. Voltar antes da hora, com dor ou sem poder dançar no nível que acredito, não faz sentido pra mim.

Agora, estou focando em me recuperar para os espetáculos que ainda virão mais pra frente - e usando esse tempo para continuar tocando projetos que sigo desenvolvendo com muito propósito. 🎯❤️ Alguns deles vocês já acompanham por aqui.

Sigo construindo, aos poucos, novos caminhos dentro e fora do palco. 🌱🩰💪🏻

This video is from a rehearsal of Blake Works I, the last one before my performance on January 29th. I was already injured, but that performance was special to me, and I knew I had to dance.

Since then, I’ve had to stop completely. My goal was to return for the final performances of Blake Works I and Approximate Sonata - today, April 18th, and on the 25th. But the recovery process is taking longer than I expected.

💔 It’s frustrating, of course. I wish I were dancing today - and not being able to do that touches me deeply. But I respect my body’s timing. Coming back too soon, in pain or without being able to dance at the level I believe in, just doesn’t make sense to me.

Now, I’m focusing on healing for the performances that are still ahead - and using this time to keep working on the projects I continue to develop with deep purpose. 🎯❤️ Some of them you already follow here.

Step by step, I keep building new paths - both on and off the stage. 🌱🩰💪🏻

Stay until the end for the level completed!

Literally, this is what is going through my mind when I’m doing this part “pick up the stars ⭐️ and complete the level”.

We do what we can. This is the most tiring part of the scene for me, and keeping my attention on what I want to achieve with that movement instead of the movement itself really helps.

In fact, research suggests that external focus, that is, attention directed towards the movement’s intended effect, can support more effective and automatic movement in ballet (Guss-West & Wulf, 2016).

Feliz dia da bailarina 🩰 Acho legal ter um dia dedicado a isso, à nossa profissão, e não poderia deixar passar em branco.

Profissão que escolhi desde que comecei a andar. 👀 Vê lá a última foto pra ver que tô falando a verdade.

8 cidades diferentes, 3 países e uma imensidão de memórias, palcos, papéis, aulas, ensaios, e vidas. Não daria para colocar em um post tudo que ser bailarina proporcionou na minha vida, além da carreira linda que tive a “sorte” de construir.

Happy ballerina’s day 🩰 I think it’s cool to have a day dedicated to this, to our profession.

Profession I chose since I started walking. 👀 Look at the last photo to see that I’m telling the truth.

8 different cities, 3 countries and an immensity of memories, stages, roles, classes, rehearsals, and lives. I couldn’t put in a post everything that being a dancer provided in my life, in addition to the beautiful career I was “lucky” to build.
