SLAM DAY

👽👁️‍🗨️ Abominable Putridity – The Last Communion 👁️‍🗨️👽

Abominable Putridity was the first Slam band I ever heard. I was sitting under a school desk when Lack Of Oxygen hit me for the first time, and it absolutely f**King blew my mind.

I never became a hardcore Slam fanatic, but The Anomalies Of Artificial Origin is still one of those albums I love to blast from time to time.
Pure filth. Pure brutality.

Happy to finally share another original track! Tried to blend some of my all-time influences (Vildhjarta, Periphery) with a more recent one (ERRA). Not sure how noticeable they are, but I’m happy with the results 😌

All guitars were recorded with @auroradsp Rhino. I really liked how tweakable it is, I played around with the preamp section to add some extra boost and used the built-in EQ for a low cut before mixing. All cleans and leads are default presets ✨

Thanks @auroradsp for letting me try Rhino, really enjoyed it! 💖

Special thanks to @afterdivisionbyzero for the drums, bass programming and valuable feedback 💗

Checking out the versatility of the 40W head in the Laboga Diamond Sound suite from @auroradsp and @laboga.gear Running the drive around 4 with the booster engaged delivers that punchy, dynamic tube breakup without choking out. When you start throwing pedals at it—the Overdrive, Octaver, the nasty "Anger" fuzz, and that 6-band EQ to sculpt out the mud—this rig handles every transient effortlessly.

How do you like to run lower-wattage amps: totally clean as a pedal platform, or right on the edge of breakup? Drop your approach below 👇🎸

Dialing in punchy 7-string progressive metal rhythms with the Laboga Diamond Sound suite from @auroradsp 💎🔥

Thank you, @theampsimuniverse !!!

Capturing the authentic point-to-point character of the iconic DS100 and DS40, backed by a flexible pedalboard, cabinet rig, and studio rack. The pick attack stays razor-sharp with zero low-end mud in the mix.

Full in-depth demo of the suite dropping soon! What do you think of this bite? 👇🎸
