These photos were taken for my first published interview for Like Magazine by Jesse Alford an entire decade ago! Can you believe how quickly the years roll over and here we are, just picking up the pieces?

This was a BIG year for me as I released my first four song EP, I was (and still am) a working singer, songwriter, producer, and had just started my new venture in the visual arts with my event called ReTREAT, which was originally called D*A*S*H*… which was ultimately really annoying to write out so… decisions were made. There’s more to the story, but I’ll have to save it for the book!

As I’m reminiscing on the past decade of my life, I’m beginning to find the tone of my story and the angle in which to begin telling it from. It’s probably the most resistant starting point to something that I KNOW is going to be massive for my future. I think I’m paralyzed in fear, but I haven’t let it stop me before!

You can ask people who know me… once I put my mind to something, I will make it happen and I am tenacious as hell itself.

This gato just decided it lives in my backyard. Free entertainment AND pest control! My neighborhood out here just domesticating feral cats… Some meany tried to get them taken away but I bet you can imagine how that went. Let’s just say… NO DICE! Gotta love em. 🐈‍⬛ by @aurorajimenezhomes

The other day, I attended a conference at @uclaw_sf to discuss democracy and how we can improve future systems through innovation and technology. It was an honor to represent @doughnuteconomics and to share ideas and learn more about what others are doing to progress us forward even during such a tumultuous time in history. Faith in humanity: Restored. Standing up for what you feel is just: Priceless. Now let’s get to work!

As previously mentioned… I’ve been learning the ropes on a fishing boat off the Pacific West Coast and growing more and more confident each day. Super grateful for this time spent with this awesome crew and with nature. It’s hugely humbling how much work goes into the food we eat on a regular basis without thinking.

This past weekend was the single most incredible experience of my life. Squidbillying around the Pacific off the coast of Point Reyes with a tight-nit, kind and orderly crew of two plus the captain, then there’s me. lol A stowaway for the weekend to go catch some squid.

Beautiful morning walk in the marina. Blessed by the picturesque wildlife, even had a sea lion hang out with me for a bit. I’ve been all about balancing the digital and analog lifestyles in order to find true peace of mind.
