Meet Aurora Till – storyteller, traveler, and now a graduate of The American University of Rome with a B.S. in Travel & Tourism Management and a minor in Italian.
She’s the first-ever Verto Education transfer student to graduate from AUR - a testament to what global education can achieve.

Born under a red aurora in Alaska, Aurora has always believed in the power of stories. From her beginnings with @vertoeducation to walking the stage in Rome with @aurrome, she’s carved a path defined by curiosity, connection, and creativity. Along the way, she’s scaled social media audiences, translated fashion journals, and immersed herself in the art of intercultural communication.

Her global education began with Verto semesters in Fiji and Florence - experiences that inspired her to continue her studies in Italy and discover AUR. Travel has been central to her growth, expanding her worldview and deepening her passion for the field.

At AUR, hands-on field trips helped bridge the classroom with the real world - from destination marketing with Professor Sasso to exploring Berlin with Professor Koehler. Among her most memorable journeys: a Fall Break road trip through Scotland retracing her grandmother’s 1950s footsteps, and an unforgettable adventure to Petra and Wadi Rum in Jordan with her AUR roommates.

Aurora’s story reflects how travel and education foster open-mindedness, build lasting connections, and shape a truly global perspective.

Some days, the only thing I can think about is holding river rocks, running my fingers through birch bark like paper, and feeling the soft cushiony earth under me. Alaska is always my medicine. My rushing wind.
I have never felt a passion like yours.
you cradled me, while moving my feet.
Inspired me to dance,
While captivated under your spell.

You found me just when I needed you.
Like fresh air you filled me with color.
Yellow & Organge for the sunshine I needed.
Red & gold for the fire I needed,
and purple for the calm I needed.

It was like for a moment I could float away from pain and bask, in your light.

After knowing your magic,
I dance through my battles.
I stomp gracefully to forget the past,
instead, releasing the beautiful dancer inside me.

Fall in Marino 🍇 🍞Ciambella al mosto is a traditional sweet bread made with fresh grape juice. It’s a way to celebrate the grape harvest in Italy.

I recommend visiting Marino outside of the main wine festival. I went last year, and the crowds were insane with no management and was dangerous. Opt for a quiet weekend! #rometravelguide #romedaytrip by @auroras.alaska
