omg! Me? Drawing my own characters? What a time we live in!

Since I redesigned Keltor a while back, a proper high quality artwork of him was in order! His star and dream motives worked well for an ethereal night sky piece. His arms are stretched out towards the sun, which is representative of Cronifer. He is Keltors sun and our Cat-boy here is always longing for him ☀️✨️

I originally wanted to try something different with the rendering but then I reverted right back to my usual technique. As I so often do 😭

Some of these are actually a bit old but I've been slow with my sketchbook and a lot od my drawing are not pretty lol.

The Ninjago fanart is from when I started binging the show a couple of months ago. I didn't finish it tho. I got so lost in the sauce around season 11 that I drew this and also started working on a Ninjago animatic (that the world might never see even tho I think it'd turn out quite rad) and than completely crashed back into my pokemon obsession out of nowhere. That's why I stopped watching Ninjago and binged Pokemon B&W instead 👍😃

There is a bunch of super mid LMK fanart in here and then a couple of pokemon doodles from when that obsession started lol. I always struggled hard with drawing Pokemon tho so that's why there isn't a lot here. The shiny Luxray is an OC btw. His name is Simba :]
My digital Pokemon art is better, but I don't have anything finished to show off yet. Maybe I'll post some wips on my story.

Last Artfight post!
This year I got more pieces done than the last couple of times, which I'm very happy about! I'm still working on a way to get done more art in less time. Maybe next year I'll make some more progress with that.

Heyyy. I finished this before the start of ArtFight 💪💪

this was just supposed to be a doodle page for RedSon, but then I decided to make it pretty haha.
The frame redraws don't look great, but they're still funny.
As you can see I slightly changed my initial Redson design. He used to have bull ears, but they were to cutesy for Red's punk-scientist vibes so I gave him "normal" demon ears instead. Also changed the shape of his glasses, to a more modern frame. It's a headcannon that he has prescription sunglasses because he can definitely afford them lmao

also is this my first digital Redson art? I think so. Usually my fanart just stays in the sketchbook, so this is a big day ☝️ by @aurosaurus1

I am finally back baby. I wrote my final exams - now we wait and see if I passed. 🫡 But until then I have time to draw!

To kick things off I finalized Keltors new fit (which also came with a new eye color for the guy) and I completely redesigned his monster form to match his new esthetic!
I am also going to redesign his macigal artifact-thing, but I don't know if people actually care about items, so who knows of I'll actually post it lol.

I would have liked to put more drawings into this sketchbook post, but this is all I have so far and I doubt I will be able to draw much in the next few weeks because my exams are comming up.

First drawing is of Techno and Philza! Don't worry about the awkward pose pls. Love those two guys. I also drew Strickler (extra zesty this time around) and some RedSons. Rare Auros drawing aaaand some Peaky Blinders art that didn't turn out quite the way I wanted

Also I've been hearing about artists on Instagram getting sued for using copyrighted music on their posts even tho the music is literally provided by Insta? Is this a real thing I need to worry about now?
I you know anything about that, inform me I guess. Don't want GEMA to come for my ass once I open my comissions. by @aurosaurus1

Dexter got a redesign!!

He probably didn't need it as badly as some other characters, but I had an idea for it and couldn't rest until the man was drawn.

The main goal was to make him look a little less human by putting more emphasis on the owl features in his face. I also changed his outfit a bit. Generally trying to make all my characters clothes more uniform in the sense that they look like they come from the same time period.
Exept for the time travelers, of course lmao. This is also why Dex has a more "modern" jacket at the start of the story (My guy is from the future)
Later he loses (destroys) the jacket and gets himself the leather chest piece that works as a sword holster. I had to adjust it a bit because of his wings
How he loses his finger or gets his scars is a spoiler, so I won't get into that.

A character redesign!
You know how much I love redesigning my children.

I have been working on this on and off, since school is taking up all of my time. Once again, finding the right balance between the colors was the biggest challenge, and once again, I managed to get there after a lot of trial and error.

Oldeander is such a fun character. They are self obsessed and greedy. They own an inn where they mostly work at the bar and give people unwanted horoscopes, and they are genuinely a terrible boss. (He loves to see his waiters suffer)
He is a coward when it comes to physical danger, but he is a cunning businessman willing to take risks if necessary. A real entrepreneur.
Beneath Oleanders eccentric exterior they do genuinely care for their community and almost singlehandedly build its small economy from the ground up. He gives his neighboring businesses helpful advice while also reminding them that he is, in fact, better than them.

Erm, I actually wanted to post this within one of my usual sketchbook posts, but this is like... My favorite traditional piece? Like of all that I have ever done???
So I feel like it deserves its own post

I was supposed to study, but a spirit possessed me and forced me to make this instead. The power of Technoblade, I guess.
I put a few little nods to the DSMP in here, but only Techno relating ones, of course. (The friendship emerals obviously relate to both Techno and Phil)

The composition came as a bit of a second thought, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. The colors were a struggle, too. If I learned anything while making this, it's that I really have to trust the prosses and trust in my abilities to make it look good somehow in the end 💪
