Dan’s been busy with more shed upgrades! 🔥

Six months on the road, thousands of kilometres, and some seriously rough tracks… the 80 has copped a fair bit of punishment! 🇦🇺

These vehicles won’t last if you don’t use them!

One thing I’ve come to learn is that these cars have only lasted as long as they have because they have been USED!

A car that sits and is ignored can degrade far quicker than one that gets driven frequently.

I should have learnt this already but from now on I’m going to try my best to drive this thing like it deserves to be.

And that should be a good thing cause I love driving this car!

For those of you with multiple cars, how often do you get them out for a run? by @aussiearvos

While we were in Darwin, I got to do some planespotting... We happened to be there during Exercise Pitch Black, an international air combat exercise that takes place in the territory every 2 years.

It brings together aircraft from all over the world, including some that I'd rarely, if ever, get to see down south.

We got to see the Luftwaffe's Eurofighter Typhoons, Indian Air Force Dassault Rafales, along with plenty of other US-built stuff (F-35, F-16, VTOLs, and more!).

Epic couple of hours and it was free to attend! taken in Mindil Beach Darwin by @aussiearvos

Travelling up the Stuart Highway, there are so many hidden WW2 sites that played a crucial role in defending Australia.

From Runways to Bunkers, staging camps, field hospitals...

I’ve never really had the chance to explore this side of our history in the Top End, but in this weekend’s episode, I give it a good crack.

It’s pretty incredible to think about the importance of some of these sites, and how lucky we are to be able to walk through them today in peacetime.

Living down south, it’s easy to take that feeling of safety for granted. Exploring these places really put into perspective the role they played in protecting Australia during the war.

And there’s plenty more WW2 history to come as we continue north towards Darwin.

Who still uses GAS? Who's made the jump to induction?
I've been super impressed with how much energy I get out of my small 4kg gas bottle!
I actually did some AI math and turns out my 4kg gas bottle stores about the same amount of energy as a 4000ah battery at 12v. Only thing I would mention is that there are some inefficiencies in using that energy, that being half of the heat getting blown away in the wind 🌬️🤔

But definitely works great as a hybrid option to take some reliance off your battery setup. by @aussiearvos
