After witnessing a wild doubles 297 game by a few of our @ChampGoldenFlash bowlers yesterday, I felt inspired to put on a show of my own 😏 I went on to put together 258-289-266 for an 813 series 🎳 This is my 2nd highest series ever and marks my 2nd Sanctioned 800+ series of the season! I proudly dedicate this Honor Score Achievement to my biggest fan on and off the lanes, my beautiful and ever so supportive wife @_.KaylaAdams! Whether the pins fall my way or not, her love & support will forever be the glue that holds me together 🙌 Thank you for always believing in me and loving me the way you do 💜
S/O to my sponsors @IamBowlingLV and @TheDanceComplexOhio for also believing in me.

Balance = Accuracy 🎳🎯
Striking a pose and holding it at the foul line will greatly improve your accuracy! The optimal way of staying balanced is to counter the weight of the bowling ball ⚖️

This boils down to 2 simple tips:

1st you'll need your non-dominant arm to remain up and away as soon as it breaks away from the ball.

2nd you'll need your dominant leg to trail behind you so that it mirrors your non-dominant arm.

For lefties this will be your right arm and left leg.
For righties this will be your left arm and right leg.

With this extra weight now stacked on the opposite side of our bowling ball, it becomes much easier to remain balanced at the line ⚖️

Pro tip: The next time you find yourself missing your mark, *pause* once your ball clears the arrows and look down at your feet. If you find that your dominant leg isn't trailing behind you to the opposite side of your body that's your body telling you you're off-balance.

Bowlers will often confuse their misses with how they're releasing the ball off their hand rather than first considering if they're off balance at the foul line. Before adjusting your release, consider your balance, and trust your release 🙏 You'll find yourself hitting your mark more often than not 🙌

279 with the @RotoGripBowling RST Hyper Drive Pearl 🎳🤩 This Asymmetrical Pearl glides seamlessly through the front part of the lane. Storing all of its energy for a strong drive through the pins. Its extremely shiney out of box at 5500 grit so I knocked the shine down with a 2000 grit abralon pad. This gets the ball reading a bit earlier and more consistently at the breakpoint. The added surface gives me the perfect amount of skid-flip I need. Experimenting with surface changes is one of the most powerful tools in every bowler's tool kit. Since every bowler is unique, it's vital to find the proper level of surface that suits your game!

Mindset Monday 🧠🎳
When the pins aren't falling your way, what are some things you like to do or tell yourself in order to remain optimistic?
(Let me know in the comments👇)

For me, I keep a "First Frame Mindset."
Treating every frame as if were the 1st frame allows me to move on from opens and ignore any pressure of an honor score. An open in the 9th or 10th is less frustrating if we treat it the same way as an open in the 1st. Same goes for stepping up in the 10th with 9 strikes in a row. If we treat the 10th frame the same way we treat the 1st frame, its no longer about needing 3 more strikes or 30 pins in the 10th. Rather each frame becomes about just hitting the 10 pins in front of you.

Try this tip to minimize the moment in your mind, and refrain from getting to high on the highs, but most importantly too low on the lows. 💪🧠

Strikes are cool and all, but split conversions are one of the most rewarding feelings in bowling🎳 You take what most see as an automatic open, and turn it into something special. I dedicate time in every practice session for spares, and that includes washouts & split conversions! If you spend every practice session trying to strike in an effort to avoid leaving splits I hear you...But we aren't robots no matter how hard we try to be 🤖 We're going to miss our mark, have bad shots, and catch some bad breaks...After all we're only human 🤷‍♂️ So practice FOR the tough moments rather than practicing to avoid them 🧠👈
Your average will thank you later 😏

Rolling in the deep 🎳
With the @StormProducts Ion Max 💪😎
The Ion Max's proven performance starts with an incredibly high flaring asymmetrical core that's wrapped in super strong solid coverstock. This lethal core & cover combo results in a very dependable ball motion. Especially on heavy volume oil patterns! The Ion Max is one of the few bowling balls I've found dual success with making the coverstock dull or shiney. Either way you like it, you'll be rolling it in the deep 🙌

Today's #ThrowbackThursday is a wistful one. It's been 27 years since God called my mom Angel home to heaven 😇 Nearly 10,000 days have come & gone since then, yet it stings like it was yesterday 💔 Call it a defense mechanism, but I try not to focus on the magnitude of missing you. Instead I flood my mind with our memories so they too feel like it was yesterday ❤️‍🩹 My mom was a natural born leader who would go to war for anyone. She held an untamed passion for what she believed in, and embodied being a catalyst. Sports were also a huge part of who she was. As an athlete and a fan, if there was fun to be had you could expect her to be there 🫶
I try my best to emulate who she was with the passions we shared.
One of which was bowling 🎳
