LDI 2026–2027 is officially underway. 💛🖤
This weekend, our Leadership Development Institute young men kicked off the year under this year’s theme: Built for More.

Our seniors focused on college readiness, scholarships, financial aid, and personalized college resources designed around their goals.

Our 6th–11th graders spent the afternoon building connections through small-group conversations, Brother Speed Rounds, and pod introductions, giving our Brothers and young men time to genuinely get to know one another.

Before we can mentor, challenge, and develop these young men, we first have to know them.

Thank you to our parents and guardians for your continued support, and a special shoutout to Milliche and M.O.M.s Meals ATX (@momsmealsatx) for feeding everyone!

Yesterday, the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. — Gamma Eta Lambda Chapter were proud to help welcome the students of General Marshall Middle School back for another school year!

There’s no better way to start the year than by showing our young people that their community is behind them. Brothers were on hand to greet students, offer encouragement, and help set the tone for a year filled with achievement, confidence, and excellence.

We were also honored to share a few words with the student body and remind them that the work they put in today can open doors for them tomorrow.

This is what Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind looks like in action—being present, serving our community, and investing in the next generation.

To the students, teachers, administrators, and staff of General Marshall Middle School: Have an amazing school year! Keep pushing, keep learning, and keep striving for greatness.
