One Year @gearbox wasn't a concern, I can absolutely fail upwards. Two years however, that was the question and the real test. 2 Years proves its not a fluke, that maybe something is there...I have had an amazing time, I have an amazing team, and I'd like to think I've done amazing things. #borderlands4 is out and people seem to love it. Two Years of my life confined to a disc. Big milestone on a greater journey that took its first steps really 10 years ago when I started at #usc. Crazy to think how time quickly flies...This copy will be going to my younger brother, who, in 2013, urged a recent college graduate with no drive, focus, or motivation(and was washing cars at Enterprise) to go after something bold and unorthodox. "Get me to One Year, please let me get to One Year" is the mantra that has lived rent-free in my head for one full year today. Today marks my first anniversary with Gearbox Entertainment. Ever since graduating from the University of Southern California, I have had that "One Full Year at a Studio" goal in mind; thrice attempted, thrice denied. Until Today.It means the world to be able to do what you love professionally, especially post being laid-off. Sitting here and thinking about the last five years, I am nothing but grateful for all the guidance and assistance I have received along the way. On the road to my ultimate destination, I have stumbled and fallen at least a hundred times, and a thousand hands have reached down to help me up and get me back on my feet.From Tyler, Ryan, and Chase to Mark, Andrew, Aaron, and everyone else that I just don't have the room to mention, you guys have helped me find my way. Coming off a layoff, I was hungry to get back to work. I had to move back home, sell things and pinch pennies, but most importantly I needed to recenter myself. More than anything I needed to remind myself that I could still "do it."@reboundsoundcompany and @callofduty gave me an opportunity to get back up and answer the call(pun intended).
