HIS MICHELIN-RECOGNIZED CAFE IS HIDING DOWN AN EAST AUSTIN ALLEY ☕

This “nameless market,” transports you to the streets of Mexico City all while serving Michelin-recognized coffee and bites! And the Mercados Innombre team continues to spotlight the farmers and growers behind the heirloom corn that fuels their delicious bites!

Part 3 of our Latin-owned spotlights as we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month in Austin!

WHAT’S THE HYPE?

🏮 The entrance is half the fun. You walk down an alley strung with cafe lights and hanging flowers, then order at a little walk-up window.

🥮 One of the big draws here is the masa twinkies! Try the classic vanilla with lemon filling or a blue masa cake filled with chocolate and a fermented chili ganache, topped with toasted fluff!

🥞 We also always recommend the masa pancakes; they’re fluffy with a toasty corn flavor and sweet topping sauce!

☕ And of course dont forget a go-to bre! We love the horchata cold brew but you really cant go wrong here!

🍳 The biscuit takes 100 hours to make, and you can taste it. Get it toasted with espresso butter and green tomato jam to go the breakfast sandwich route!

💮 And Michelin gave them a Bib Gourmand, the guide’s nod to spots serving great food at a good value!

Find this alley way cafe in East Austin and go during a cooler part of the day because it is all outside!

Think you know ACL? 👀🎶

Austin’s biggest music festival actually started with a TV show, a Willie Nelson pilot, and a whole lot of history before Zilker ever entered the chat.

How many of these did you already know? ⬇️
