Throwback Thursday

Three of my most precious raw materials in filmmaking are:
Location, Actor, and Story.

I can handle the rest.

Back in my directorial debut in 2010, the equipment guy showed up with an event camera instead of the Panasonic P2 we had planned. He didn’t reveal it until the night before the shoot and I was furious.

We went all around the city looking for a replacement but couldn’t find one.

So I shot my first movie with that event camcorder…
and it still earned African Movie Award recognition at 23years.

I tell any film practitioner out there start early.
Use all you have to make a piece.
Even if it’s a phone camera…make a film.

Appreciation Post;

Yesterday was my birthday, and I never imagined the amount of love you guys would shower on me.

You made me fall in love with my birthday by making me feel that way.

I am overwhelmed.I am overjoyed.I am truly humbled.

May this joy I feel never depart from your lives, in the only name I know that has done it for me — Jesus Christ.

Blessings upon blessings.Amen 🙏🏾 by @austinfaani

40-fied & Super Grateful.

Happy birthday to GraceBoy.

No matter what life throws at you,
hold tight to God.
He never fails.

Still standing. Still blessed. 🙏

I have two major announcements later today (1 excites me so much, the other might excite others more) if I survive the breakfast, lunch and dinner schedules…or we do it tomorrow.

Today, the world celebrates Christmas, but my heart celebrates something even more precious.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter, Kaira Dior Faani born on Christmas Day, a living reminder that miracles are real.

May your life always shine as brightly as the day you came into this world.

I love you My Angel. by @austinfaani

Don’t feel big to submit to your God.
That’s the whole idea of Christ Consciousness.
