Today has been one of the most difficult, emotionally confusing, and just overall hardest day of my life.

I have been fortunate enough to not have dealt with loss this close to me in my life, which makes this one hurt even more.

I have spent all day between sadness, and oddly enough this feeling of positivity because I know you are here with me, keeping me from hurting as much as you can.

You were absolutely larger than life, had a smile that could stop the earth's rotation, and a laugh more contagious than any known disease.

I consider myself so lucky to be given the privilege of knowing you and calling you my friend.

I can't even count on one hand the amount of times I've seen you in a bad mood, it's like your whole life's mission was to make people happy, and that is something I will carry with me from here on out.

Part of me is extremely angry at you because of what happened, but the rest of me just wants to hold you one more time and tell you that everything is going to be okay.

I wish I had taken advantage of being a better friend.
I wish I had called and checked in more.
I wish I could go back in time and erase this day from existence.

I hope that you are in the best place, with the best food and best gym known to man.

I hope that your beautiful girls Harbour and Basil find peace through these very trying times, and I hope they know that they have an army behind them that would go to any measure to stop any force from getting in the way of their happiness and wellbeing.

It has yet to fully hit me that this is reality, and it probably won't for a little while.

I'm gonna miss you, you god damn handsome devil.

Don't have too much fun without me, I hope to see you again on the other side by @austininblood
