These pics leave something to be desired, but this dipping oil did not! Sungold tomatoes, garlic parsley, chives, anchovy, lemon, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Extra anchovy on the side for topping. Could literally make a meal out of this. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @austinmakesdinner

Tomato + cheddar chicken pot pie. Turning my oven on to roast chicken thighs and then turning it on again to bake the pie is high key crazy in august but this sounded tooooooo good not to. All the usual chicken pot pie suspects but I added fresh tomatoes, basil, and cheddar into the mix. Upon eating, I wish I had just put the cheddar in the crust instead. Summer Sunday dinner with my friends Carlos and Lia. Cafeteria rolls with pulled pork, homemade mayo, and bbq sauce, classic sweet pickle cole slaw, and a little tomato sandwich for good measure. Then, buttermilk ice cream with fresh peaches and cornflake brittle. Still full 12 hours later… by @austinmakesdinner

Lunch fixation: pickled veggie and cheddar sandwich

Toasted ciabatta (rub some raw garlic on those nooks n crannies !!)

Generous dollop of mayo + s&p

Some really good cheddar

Lightly pickled cucumbers (just sliced thin and let them marinate in rice wine vin, honey, and a little water for an hour or so)

Then big pile of carrot ribbons!! (Same quick pickle on these)

And garlic > mayo > s&p on the top bun pls

Dinner with dads. Riff on a bahn mi…I can never find good cuts of pork in nyc? So I opted for ground pork and got it crispy then sautéed it with garlic, ginger, lots of hoisin, rice vinegar, fish sauce, and sriracha. On toasted baguettes with sriracha mayo, pickled carrots and cucumber, fresh jalapeños, and lime. Then ice cream in the park. taken in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by @austinmakesdinner

I will not make a grilled cheese without putting spicy honey on it these days. GC is already a perfect food, to be clear, but the spicy honey makes it even more perfect somehow. Also this quick tomato soup is additionally, perfect:

Roast tomatoes, garlic, onion, and a red pepper on 375° for 20ish mins. Then blend with some chicken stock, a little milk/cream/half & half (whatever you have), and some basil. I swirled some ramp pesto into mine. It was…perfect. taken in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by @austinmakesdinner

It’s been a minute…I tried @pinchofyum nam khao inspired salad with spicy crispy rice and cucumbers. I added some shrimp too, reeeeally really good and the dressing was A++++ taken in Brooklyn, New York by @austinmakesdinner

Fondue Night !!! I love hosting fondue night. It’s the easiest dinner party in the world, the prep takes 2 seconds and the payoff is so impressive. Everyone loves it. I knew when I found this vintage fondue pot at a flea market in Woodstock 5 years ago we were meant to be together.

Anyway, I also served a very rich chocolate mousse and everyone still liked it even though I realized today that I messed up the recipe. Everything is more forgiving than you think it is!! taken in Greenpoint, Brooklyn by @austinmakesdinner
