So I have a bunch of new followers, so let me reintroduce myself. My name is Austin, and I’m a fashion and lifestyle photographer based between Wilmington and NYC with a strong editorial influence, always trying to push concepts a little further when possible. Sometimes that means polished and surreal, sometimes it means simple and real. I love both equally! A lot of what I shoot generally revolves around brands, boutiques, restaurants, and seasonal campaigns, but at the center of all of it is storytelling. I’m less interested in creating something that feels rinse-and-repeat and more interested in creating imagery that actually feels connected to the identity of the person, brand, or space in front of me. I’m heavily inspired by contrast—visually and creatively. My work can shift from realism to flash-heavy surrealism (depending on the concept) but I always want it to feel intentional. Fashion, to me, should feel like an extension of identity rather than just clothing being worn in front of a camera. I’m also very hands-on creatively. I’ll direct posing, movement, energy, lighting—whatever’s needed to bring a concept to life while still making people feel comfortable in the process! I try to bring a calm, approachable energy to every shoot while still helping guide the vision with confidence. Lately, I’ve been moving toward more elevated and out-of-the-box concepts creatively. The goal is always to create something memorable while still feeling authentic to whoever I’m working with. And outside of photography, there’s a very good chance house music is playing somewhere in the background while I’m editing (or at @_soundwavves 😉). If you’re new here, welcome home.
