turn and burn trip to japan with bestie :3

yall it was so nice finally getting to give myself a proper vacation after setting time aside for school. and i honestly don’t think i could’ve had a better vacation!

japan is such a neat place. from the culture, to the INCREDIBLE food, to the design of the city, and even down to the minutiae of everyday life… i was completely enthralled by it all.

anyways school starts this week & im excited to finally step back into clinicals and getting my studies moving again. i recognize im in a small minority of people who actually enjoy school, but my GOD i miss having it apart of my life dearly.

also big thanks to @bacardibella for helping plan this trip :D the idea of creating an itinerary and having to choose what i want to do is the ENTIRE opposite of everything i know 😭 so it was really nice to have someone who not only went with me across the country, but also to have a friend who put such good thought into every second of it.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A STUDENT NURSE AND A DRAG QUEEN GO TO ILLFEST TOGETHER???

yall what a WONDERFUL weekend illfest was 🫶🏻 it’s been two years since i last went to a full 3-day fest. to say i had a blast is an understatement.

my love for the scene almost slipped away if im being honest. i kind of started to doubt if i even still liked raving. but tbh nothing in this world beats that feeling of bass in the chest and going absolutely feral with total strangers :’)

huge thank u to @tweenkboosiechase for getting me out <3 i had such a great time! & thank u for finally taking my ass to the gay bars haha i needed that

also i got to reunite with my pookie @starletharlott after not seeing her for a long time either!! kayla is such a wonderful spirit u guys like genuinely it’s always a good time with her around :D

anyways i have a full summer ahead of me & im probably going to spend a bunch of time digging through the media i’ve been meaning to consume all this time.

oh also im going to JAPAN IN AUGUST!!! so yall will def see more of me then hehe :)

a little life update ✨🫶🏻

been pretty mia overall but trust me i’ve never been busier haha 😭 finally started my first semester of nursing school last month and while it’s definitely a lot, i am having SO much fun. i love medicine. i love science. i love being a nerd and i love being smart. and that’s something i really never would have said out loud 3 years ago.

i’ve honestly changed so much throughout these beginning years of my early adulthood. i’ve really learned to tune into my feelings, and really embrace my uniqueness. i’ve really learned to be tender with emotion, both my own & others as well. i’ve grown to be so much more peaceful as i’ve deepened my buddhist practice over this past year. and most importantly, i’ve really learned how to show up for myself. i’ve learned when i need to do more for myself, or when i really need to take a step back. and obviously im still learning, but i feel so free with the control i have over my life right now.

right now is kind of a weird phase of my life, because it’s simultaneously the opening and closing of a chapter. i am entering my career & really living a massively goal oriented lifestyle right now. and at the same time, i have had to take a massive step back away from the festival and rave scene, which was the space that honesty enabled me to even enter this phase of my life in the first place. and it’s not to say i’ll never go to a festival or rave again, it’s just that as of right now, my goals and lifestyle don’t fit that right now. but i definitely have many travel plans in my RN era :)

i’m incredibly grateful and blessed to be where im at right now. i finally feel like my life has trajectory; i have a clear sense of direction and purpose. and i have such incredible people in my life. my friends have been so supportive of me throughout my education. my parents have made really great strides to support me onto my next phase of life. and even now, im connecting with new people in nursing!

thank you to everyone who’s offered me love and support over these past few years. i really owe it to community. because of that love, i am finally transformed into a completely realized version of myself. ☸️ by @austinxmoore

zeds dead was sm fun yall omg i was deeply reminded of why i loved raving in the first place. def sucks not being able to do this all the time, but it makes it feel extra special when i get to go out with the besties :’)

speaking of besties u guys I BROUGHT @alexisddayy WITH ME TO HER SECOND RAVE HEHE feels so full circle bringing one of my longest and closest friends with me to the place that changed my life

also met @melanieagalindo again (i love u bb it was so good seeing u again) and met a new face (i don’t have her insta but she was SO FUN)

festival season is coming up and griz is coming back so i thought id reminisce yet again and share some of my favorite clips from the best time of my life (traveling to a new state damn near every month)

while i probably won’t see another festival for a good long while as im starting nursing school soon, i am very much still a huge fan of the scene 🥹 this place has changed my life. i am in love with bass music. forever grateful to everyone ive crossed paths with 🫶🏻 may we meet again :)

SOL FEST 2024 (REPOST IG FKN GLITCHED)

first of all, HUGE THANK YOU TO @mediabysunflower FOR TAKING THESE PHOTOS 🥹 i am OBSESSED i quite literally have never looked better 😭 ur the best hera I LOVE U SO MUCH

as you can see we did a little adventure time cosplay!! dressing up for festivals is kind of unlike me because quite frankly i like to be comfy!!! i also shop like a hippie when it comes to clothes, so my wardrobe is pretty tiny. but i think we found a good medium here!!! it’s still authentic to me and my style!! and it’s jake the dog!!!

sol fest was a vibe and a half. just pure wookery the whole weekend. i got to spend the whole weekend with some lovely individuals!!!! there’s so many people i hung out with this weekend but i got literally no photos because i was LIVING IN THE MOMENT!!! (which btw is so nice!! i love being away from my phone so much)

got to see space mommy and Isdream again (both were INCREDIBLE sets btw). also got to have my second lightcode set & i cried a little!! lightcode sets are genuinely my favorite thing ever. so much love and healing.

i am now on a festival break :(( i am unfortunately so broke after traveling so much LOL but the wooktivities will return soon!!!

as always, i am so beyond grateful for all the people that have entered my life recently. every festival i am reminded of how much love you all have given me. i am filled with so much joy. thank you all for changing my life :’) IM SUCH A HAPPY GUY taken in Vortex Spring by @austinxmoore

WAKAAN ROCKS II

YALL YESTERDAY WAS SO MUCH FUNNNN IM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT

so to start off, i got to hang out with my bestie @bacardibella AND got to meet her boyfriend!!! 🥹 @molotokbass (i don’t have any photos sadly 🥲)

then @sunflowerraver SURPRISED ME MID SHOW AND I WAS SHOOK TO MY CORE 😭😭 best surprise ever dude 🫶🏻 MEGA SHOUTOUT @raversnaturals FOR GETTING HERA OUT TO REUNITE WITH MEE!!!! i’m so grateful :’)

i also got a handmade necklace from bella which has a whole bunch of crystals from her collection!!! u can see it very well in slide 6!!!

which speaking of slide 6 ME AND @svddenstache FINALLY GOT SOME MORE PHOTOS 😭 we are always together and somehow we never get photos together!!! but that changed!!!

also THE HOODED PASH HERA GAVE ME 🥰🥰 LOOK HOW PRETTY MY RED RAINBOW CLOAK IS IM IN LOVEEEE

long overdue rezz post 🖖🏻 ft. @punpunkins (apologies for the audio in advance, the bass was so powerful my phone quite literally couldn’t handle it 😭)

FIRST REZZ SET WENT ABSOLUTELY INSANEEEE. caught middle rail w my rezzbian mother. isa threw down. AND SHE CAME DOWN TO THE CROWD AFTER. I TOUCHED HER ARM. (listen i may be gay but that doesn’t apply for rezz)

anyways, this day was so much fun. all the sets this day were incredible and the vibes at illfest were SO GOOD. i really love small fests for that.

also got to reunite with @its.lilyosaaah during my side quest!!! i didn’t get any photos sadly :(( but we spent the majority of tape b together and UGH i love that woman. lily u are so fun, i hope i see u again very very soon :’)

anyways now i totally get why rezz has such a loyal and dedicated fan base. she was already one of my top djs, but after seeing her live i just GET IT. she really is in a league of her own. the way she crafts her sets, from the music, to the visuals, to the vibe, to the way she dances… its all so surreal. she is the moment.

THUNDERDUSSY 2024

thunderdome has to be up there with lost lands. this weekend was SO much fun. i got to meet so many people. some reuniting with again, others meeting for the first time.

@bacardibella @mintywintxr ILY GUYS i cant believe i finally got to meet u both!!! you guys mean so much to me and us meeting was LONG OVERDUE. BUT I FINALLY GOT TO SQUEEZE U GUYS HEHEHE

@sunflowerraver THANK YOU FOR RUNNING THE SIDEQUESTS BACK WITH ME :’) it brought me back to our time together at lost lands. i absolutely adore our little adventures. it reminds me of being a kid so much. 🫶🏻

long overdue wakaan and btsm rocks post 🥲

what an epic weekend. truly festival vibes for what was literally just two shows on one stage.

i met SO many new people. both friends of friends AND strangers:) i even got to stay w my internet bestie @halizzleflows after we had discussed this night for MONTHSSS prior. kinda felt unreal that we made it happen outside some texts on snapchat lol

it was also my rave mom’s birthday celebration!! no pictures were taken together sadly, but i love u so so much @rainbowravemom

also i was genuinely so surprised with my side quests this weekend. like they just kept coming. i was everywhere 😭 red rocks just brings out the sidequesting idk why. maybe it’s the dope and hella diverse crowd at red rocks. or the fact that it’s just a sick ass venue

this weekend was much needed after lost lands. my soul was craving that energy so badly, and wakaan and btsm rocks DELIEVERED. this definitely won’t be the last time i fly out to denver for a red rocks show hehe

anyways just want to say how much i love my rave fam 🫶🏻 all of u bring me so much happiness, and these events always fill me with so much love and gratitude. you guys literally changed my life. and you’ll have no idea how much that means to me :’) LOVE U MWAH taken in Red Rocks Amphitheater by @austinxmoore
