POV: You’re in a season of rebuilding, rediscovering, and refining. Learning to appreciate where you are while becoming more intentional about where you’re going. 🍂

Lately, I’ve been learning how to manage my middle. 🚧That space between where I am and where I desire to be. Learning not to rush the process, discredit my progress, or allow what hasn’t happened yet to overshadow what God is doing right now.

I’m realizing that I can be grateful and still have goals, content and still desire growth, and a work in progress while still being proud of myself.

There’s beauty in the middle, too. And I’m learning not to miss it. 🤎

THE GOODNESS OF GOD🎶🕊️

When I look back over this year, I could tell you about the heartbreak, the disappointment, the moments that didn’t go the way I prayed they would, and the defeats that humbled me.

But I don’t want to build my testimony around what I lost.

I want to remember what God preserved.
What He revealed.
What He restored.
What He strengthened.
What He protected me from.
What He taught me.
And most importantly .. how He never stopped being God.

There were moments I didn’t understand, but I’m learning that I don’t need to understand everything to recognize His goodness.

God has been good to me in the obvious places, but He’s also been good to me in the quiet places in the redirection, the closed doors, the uncomfortable growth, the answered prayers I didn’t recognize at first, and the grace that kept meeting me every morning.

This year didn’t give me everything I wanted.

But it gave me a deeper awareness of the One who has carried me through it all.

So this is Part One of my reminder:

God has been good to me.
He is still good to me.
And I have more to say. 😮‍💨🥹

CHAPTER 29. 🖤🏁

My last lap of my 20s.💐

I’m not entering this year as the same woman who entered 28. Some things had to end. Some truths had to hurt. Some versions of me had to die. And some prayers had to be answered in ways I didn’t understand at first.

But I made it here .. wiser, lighter, more discerning, more surrendered, and more certain of who I am becoming.

29 isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about finishing well🥰

One final lap before a new decade, and I intend to make every part of it count. VICTORY IS MINE 🙌🏽

Last night of 28. 🖤
I can already tell… 29 is going to require a different woman🏁
Here’s My 8 MAJOR Lessons of 28📝

1. Obedience will cost you, but disobedience costs more.
Some of my greatest fruit came from saying yes before I knew how everything would work out.
2. Discernment means nothing if I keep overriding what I discern.
I learned to stop asking God for confirmation about things He had already shown me.
3. History is not a reason to keep giving someone access.
Time invested, memories, love, and shared experiences do not automatically qualify someone for my future.
4. You can love people and still outgrow the version of you that tolerated them.
Growth changed what I could entertain, excuse, carry, and call normal.
5. My character matters more than being right.
Truth matters .. but so does how I communicate it, how I respond when I’m hurt, and who I become under pressure.
6. Stop rescuing people at the expense of yourself.
Overextending financially, emotionally, spiritually, or relationally is not always love. Sometimes it is poor stewardship.
7. What looks like loss can actually be pruning.
Some endings hurt because I couldn’t yet see what God was making room for. Not everything that left was meant to be recovered.
8. The fruit will eventually reveal the root.
ROOTED taught me this in more ways than one. What I consistently nurture , faith, discipline, relationships, habits, obedience will eventually produce evidence in my life. 28 taught me to pay attention to what I’m rooted in.🌱😭 by @authentically_alayah

This isn’t even the full recap just a glimpse. No verbiage, no explanation. Just God’s Faithfulness . 💐🤎

Going into 29, my last lap of my twenties, I can’t stop thinking about what this night represented.

ROOTED felt like both an alarm and an awakening. A reminder that obedience produces things you could never manufacture on your own.

There was something surreal about standing in a room that once only existed as a thought, a prayer, an idea God placed on my heart and then watching it become real 🥹😮‍💨

Beyond my birthday being a few hours away, beyond entering another year, I’m sitting with the beauty of being able to see the fruit of a yes.🙌🏽

Something shifted in that room 🤯
And something shifted in me too.
