Sharing your faith walk truly is life changing! You never know who it might inspire to seek out a relationship with God! So often we get caught up in the “optics” of being a Christian. Trying to wrap it up and tie it up in a pretty bow….when the TRUTH is that we are a mess, struggling sometimes with our flesh and we are ALWAYS FLAWED! Going through our own trials/tribulations and storms set out to steal, kill and destroy us! This is where reality should meet transparency and confession….sharing our faith in the fact that we are LEANING ON GOD to provide OUR DAILY BREAD! ( Matthew 6:11) Just enough strength to o get out the bed today, just enough energy to persevere through the day and just enough wisdom to keep seeking the Lord our God for this day! Not tomorrow’s issues or yesterday’s woes…. But TODAY! What does that look like for you??? Are you walking with God and believing that no matter what happens or comes your way…the God that saw fit to create you will be the same God to sustain, protect and provide for you???See God is ALWAYS THE SAME! He has ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME GOD that is FAITHFUL, JUST, KIND, COMPASSIONATE AND SOVEREIGN! His word cannot and will not fail! (Luke 1:37) I encourage you to share your faith with someone today! No matter what it looks like in this moment…you are on your own path in HIS PERFECT TIME! Be unashamed to share about your struggles… as this devotional called “Known” by Tauren Wells illustrates so beautifully “Perhaps if we were all honest about our issues, honesty wouldn’t feel so isolating. After all, Jesus didn’t die for the image we project. Jesus died for who we really are.” Read Matthew 6 today and let Jesus fill you with the HOPE, TRUTH and THE ENCOURAGEMENT you need! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! This one verse is SO POWERFUL! God’s word is LIFE GIVING AND LIFE SUSTAINING
It brings hope increases faith, casts out demons, heals, protects, restores…. I could go on and on! “Do not wait for tomorrow what you can do today” we have all heard this said…. And it’s true. Give God glory today!. Give him your best YES TODAY! The time is now… tomorrow is not promised to anyone! Have you ever heard the song Simply Redeemed by Isaac Caree??? It is such a beautiful song of love from God. In it he says “ Bought with a purpose, Purchased by Love, it’s not a form of religion; it’s a gift from above” …. Just let those 4 verses sink in…. You and I have been bought with a PURPOSE…. We were PURCHASED BY LOVE!! That alone deserves all the shouting and praising that you can do! We have been REDEEMED… Given SALVATION in and through Christ Jesus! Belief that our Heavenly Father sent Jesus Christ to redeem us from sin and shame, from separation of a relationship with God! See the truth is that we cannot and have not earned this great love! We are unworthy of it by ourselves! But God created us in his image and wants us to know him; know his goodness and love that surrounds us and surpasses all understanding! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made it all possible because of his love and obedience to Yahweh! I am so GRATEFUL for this gift….that I have not earned, my children have not earned, my husband has not earned, my family and friends have not earned but yet receive freely each day! Meditating on God’s word is essential to our continued growth as Christians….as Jesus followers….TRUE children of God! God’s word is TRUTH! It’s gives us life by strengthening our daily walk! God’s word sustains our life by giving us HOPE and increasing our faith! When you take time for YOURSELF to learn the word of God you can and will be VICTORIOUS over the attacks of the enemy Satan!!! Satan is the father of lies and he will try to manipulate you and your mind against the TRUTH of God! But…. If you meditate and it daily God will equip you with the power, authority, knowledge and wisdom to defeat those thoughts and attacks! Even Jesus took time daily to honor God in this way….and he was perfect and without sin….so who are we not to follow his lead…his teachings?!!?!?! Making time EVERY SINGLE DAY to read God’s word, pray and to guard my ear and eye gates from things that are NOT of God…not pleasing in his sight has truly transformed my life and brought me peace, joy and reverence to my Heavenly Father! I will and still have shortcomings daily but I am striving each day to overcome and walk in obedience with a heart of gratitude, repentance, love, kindness and compassion for ALL of God’s children…including myself! Testify before all who you are in Christ Jesus! Declare your reverence to God and for God to every nation and ALL of humanity! God has changed MY LIFE! His perseverance to bring me into right relationship has made me a better woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister..etc…just a better human! Still flawed and imperfect but SAVED AND COVERED BY GRACE!!! I am NOT ASHAMED to tell ANYONE ABOUT MY GOD, MY JESUS! God doesn’t need you to be perfect to create a relationship with him! The Bible has countless stories of imperfect flawed and broken people that God used for his glory and their good….For OUR GOOD! God is consistent in his love and character for all of us…since he called the universe into existence! He meets us where we are, and transforms our lives for greatness and his PURPOSE! You were born with PURPOSE… God saw fit to create you for his PURPOSE! Don’t let “religion”, church hurt or ignorance keep you bound from a relationship with the Holy Trinity! It is the BEST YES you will ever give in your entire life! YES to declaring Jesus as your Lord & Savior, Yes to the Almighty God in Heaven, Yes to receiving your blood covered seal of the Holy Spirit. Man does not dictate your transformation in Christ Jesus! God does that for you! Some grow slower than others and that is OK! It’s not how you start… it is how you finish! FINISH on the side of spending eternity with your creator and savior! Be unashamed of your past… GOD CAN, WILL & HAS forgiven those sins because of Jesus! Let your healing begin with a God who loves you unconditionally and knows what you need! We must let go of unforgiveness. People who have hurt and wronged us! Forgiveness is NOT for them it is for US! When we hold on to it …we only hurt ourselves! We become captive to it and it creates a domino effect of emotions anger, bitterness, hatred…these things are not of God! We may feel that it’s warranted because of what they have done to us … I know this feeling all too well for myself but God reminded me that I have been forgiven for my transgressions against him. Jesus teaches us to LOVE our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. ( Matthew 5:43-44) Speaking from experience this was hard to do at first, but once I gave it over to God and continued to pray for them it changed my heart posture, my emotions. I was no longer concerned about their actions towards me because I know who I am, who God says that I am in Christ Jesus! You forgiving them and treating them with kindness, compassion and love may not change them, BUT it will change you and they will be baffled by your actions towards them. Try it! See for yourself. They will either get angrier or bitter because they can’t get under your skin or it can cause them to change in their heart. Regardless pray for them and pray for God to give you strength in your interactions with them. Prayer is a POWERFUL THING! It’s much harder to walk in love than it is to walk in hate. Challenge yourself to do the former! Be blessed on today and remember Jesus loves YOU MORE than you can imagine! 🙏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏼🙏🏽 by @authenticallymearianna
