I Almost Didn’t Share This.

Because These Pictures Hold Versions Of Me That I Spent Years Trying To Forget.

The Little Girl Who Didn’t Understand Why The People Who Were Supposed To Protect Her Could Hurt Her.

The Girl Who Learned To Fight Before She Learned How To Process Her Pain.

The Teenage Mom Who Was Trying To Raise A Child While Still Trying To Understand Herself.

The Young Woman Who Still Dreamed Even While Carrying Things She Didn’t Have The Words For.

The Girl Who Became Tired Of Fighting.

And The Woman Who Eventually Had To Decide Whether She Was Going To Keep Surviving… Or Finally Start Living.

I’ve Been Through Things I Never Thought I’d Talk About Publicly.

I’ve Had Seasons Where My Pain Became So Heavy That I Didn’t Think I Could Keep Going.

But God…

He Kept Pulling Me Back.

Through People.
Through Prayer.
Through My Children.
Through My Great-Grandmother’s Love.
Through Every Version Of Me That Refused To Completely Give Up.

And Now I’m Here.

Still Healing.
Still Learning.
Still Becoming.
But Alive. 🦋

One Year Strong.

One Year Removed From A Place I Never Thought I’d Make It Out Of.

So During This Season Of Suicide Awareness, I’m Not Sharing This For Pity.
