✨At Authentic Books, I believe in the transformative power of reading and passionate about sharing the joy and benefits it brings to individuals’ lives.✨ With that being said, I’m Natisha! Mostly a team of 1, but I do have some awesome PT workers that help keep the wheels going when possible. This journey to open a brick + mortar has been a long one, as it was always a dream to create a unique book shopping experience, but the planning to actually do it was never done. Then came 2023. With the rise of cost on goods as well as the cost of Orlando real estate, we were forced to find a new home while also juggling inflation cost and increased shipping rates. Our new home needed sooo much love ($$), however with the lower overall overhead and new revenue stream, what was once a stressor to have to move has turned into a blessing in disguise. The Central Florida Indie Bookstore Passport will resume in June with 12 participating stores this year! @theblackrabbitbookbar @spellboundbookstorefl @authenticbooks @newleafbookstore @sunshinebookco @thenewromanticsbooks @barrelofbooks @writersblockbookstorefl @Blackrosebookshop @oclsfriends @storyroomcollective @fortheplotorlando This year we had the talented Jennyfer (@creativejennyfer ) create our logo + branding, and Orlando connoisseur @lemonhearted , create a fun Indie Bookstore Map for reference! Note: Only bookstores marked with a ⭐️ are participating this 2026 sesson Make sure you are following all stores because each store will post when they get their passports. Passport program will run through the end of July so you will have all summer to get those stamps. Here is how it works: 1. Visit your indie bookstore store 2. Make a purchase at that bookstore 3. Get a stamp (or sticker) when you check out 4. Repeat at all the stores in the passport 5. Finish by July 31st to be entered into a drawing to win a gift card to EVERY store.
