Still Breathing is a deeply emotional and unsettling read that explores childhood trauma, fear, survival, and the lasting effects of painful experiences. What makes the writing stand out is how personal and honest it feels. The story does not try to make difficult experiences beautiful or easy; instead, it shows how they can stay with a person long after the moment has passed.

One of the strongest parts of the book is its reflection on childhood. The narrator looks back at memories of family, school, fear, and moments that changed the way they understood themselves and the world around them. The writing often feels quiet and reflective, which makes the darker moments hit even harder.

Overall, Still Breathing feels less like a story meant only to entertain and more like a story meant to make the reader understand. It is painful, vulnerable, and reflective, but there is also a sense of hope underneath it all. The biggest message I took from it is that surviving something does not mean you have to carry it silently forever.

Rating: 4.5/5 — A raw and moving read for anyone who appreciates honest stories about trauma, healing, and finding the strength to keep going.

MOA's journey made me reflect on how childhood experiences, academic expectations and family pressures can leave deep scars. His struggles with guilt, shame, depression and social pressure felt painfully real, yet seeing him hold onto his inner strength and come out stronger was truly inspiring.

I could relate to his experiences too, having faced disrespect from relatives that once affected my confidence and caused social anxiety. Over time, I learned that such experiences often reflect others’ ignorance, not our worth.
Overall, this story is a reminder that no matter how harsh the past has been, healing and coming out stronger is possible. taken in Kolkata - The City of Joy by @author.moa

Author: MOA
Review: “Still Breathing” is one of those books that quietly gets under your skin and stays in your thoughts long after you’ve put it down. What I loved most was how human the story felt. The emotions didn’t come across as forced or exaggerated; they felt vulnerable, complicated, and incredibly real.

There were moments when I found myself slowing down because certain emotions felt so relatable. The themes of silence, survival, pain, and the things people carry without ever saying them out loud were handled in a way that made me think about how much someone can hide behind an ordinary face.

I also really appreciated the atmosphere of the book. It has a quiet, heavy feeling to it, but at the same time, there’s something comforting about the idea of simply continuing forward, even when things aren’t easy. The writing made me feel connected to the emotions rather than just reading about them.

This isn’t just a story I finished and immediately forgot. It made me pause, reflect, and think about the emotions behind the words. Some books entertain you, some make you emotional, and a few actually make you feel understood. For me, “Still Breathing” was one of those books.
A beautiful, emotional, and deeply human read. Definitely a book I would recommend to readers who enjoy stories with emotional depth, honesty, and characters that feel real. 🤍📖 by @author.moa

📕Title: "STILL BREATHING: SILENCE ,SURVIVAL , AND THE THINGS WE NEVER TOLD"

✍️Author: "M.O. A"

📚Book Review: "Still Breathing: Silence, Survival, and the Things We Never Told" by M.O. A is a raw, intimate memoir about surviving the kinds of pain that often remain invisible to everyone else. Written for those who have smiled while struggling internally or carried experiences they could never fully explain, the book explores childhood wounds, fractured family relationships, identity struggles, and the profound loneliness that can hide behind the simple words “I’m fine.”

Rather than presenting healing as a perfect transformation, M.O. A approaches survival with honesty and emotional vulnerability. The book does not rely on forced positivity or promise that every wound can be neatly resolved. Instead, it acknowledges the strength required simply to continue when life feels overwhelming. That compassionate perspective gives the memoir its emotional power, creating the feeling of being accompanied rather than instructed.

Readers drawn to deeply personal memoirs about resilience, silence, emotional pain, and survival should buy "Still Breathing". It is especially meaningful for anyone who has ever felt unseen while carrying private struggles. Honest, reflective, and reassuring, this book offers something simple yet powerful: recognition, companionship, and the reminder that continuing to breathe can itself be an act of courage.

📖 Book Review — Still Breathing by MOA 🖤

Some books tell you a story, while others make you pause and look inward. Still Breathing felt like the second kind.

This memoir is raw, vulnerable, and deeply honest. It explores trauma, loneliness, emotional struggles, family relationships, and the complicated process of understanding yourself without making healing look easy or perfect.

What I loved most was how beautifully it captures the weight of unspoken expectations, family bonds, and the little gestures that can mean more than words. It also reminds us that we don’t have to carry every burden placed on us.

The writing feels deeply human messy, painful, reflective, but still holding onto small moments of hope. 🕯️

Still Breathing doesn’t try to give you all the answers. Instead, it quietly stays beside you through the difficult parts and reminds you that healing can be nonlinear.

Emotional. Honest. Thought-provoking. Unforgettable.🤍

Some books don’t just tell a story they sit quietly beside you and make you feel understood. 🤍📖

Still Breathingbby M.O.A. is an emotional and deeply honest memoir about survival, loneliness, family relationships, identity, healing, and the things we often struggle to put into words.

What I loved most was its honesty. It doesn’t romanticize difficult experiences or offer easy answers. Instead, it reminds us that healing can be messy, that our feelings deserve to be acknowledged, and that even the smallest steps forward can matter.

The exploration of family, unspoken emotions, boundaries, and the burdens we sometimes carry for others really stayed with me. There’s a quiet strength in the way this book turns vulnerability into something powerful.

Emotional, reflective, raw, and deeply human Still Breathing is the kind of book that stays with you even after the last page. 🕊️

Book Review: Still Breathing: Silence, Survival, and the Things We Never Told by M.O. A

Some books narrate a tale. Others provide solace in solitude. Still Breathing: Silence, Survival, and the Things We Never Told by M.O. A falls into the latter category.

This work is not a memoir that presents a polished life. Rather, it delves into the survival of those moments that subtly transform us—the childhood scars we bear, fractured familial ties, struggles with identity, and the loneliness concealed behind the phrase, "I’m fine."

The strength of this book lies in its authenticity. It does not offer simplistic solutions, enforced optimism, or guarantees of complete recovery. Instead, M.O. A provides readers with something profoundly human: a sanctuary where pain can exist without justification and survival is acknowledged as a significant accomplishment in its own right.

The prose is intensely personal and open, particularly in its examination of the consequences when individuals choose to remain silent about their suffering. These unvoiced experiences can become integral to our identity, influencing how we perceive ourselves and relate to others.

The most poignant concept in Still Breathing is that healing need not always be a grand spectacle. At times, merely persisting, navigating through another challenging day, and quietly maintaining one’s composure is sufficient.

This book does not endeavor to “repair” the reader. Instead, it stands alongside them. It recognizes the intricate reality of survival and provides the gentle assurance that another person comprehends their struggle.

For anyone who has ever smiled while crumbling inside, felt unseen in a bustling crowd, or harbored emotions they could never articulate, this memoir may resonate on a profound level.

Still Breathing is unfiltered, open, and empathetic—a reminder that even when life has drained us, we remain present, still breathing, and that is significant. taken in Book review by @author.moa

💕📖 Book Review – STILL BREATHING: Silence, Survival, and the Things We Never Told by M.O. A. 🕊️
Some books entertain you. Some educate you. And then there are books that simply sit beside you in silence and make you feel understood. STILL BREATHING by M.O. A. belongs to that rare category.
This is not a memoir built around perfect healing, inspirational clichés, or easy answers. Instead, it speaks honestly about what it means to survive the things we often struggle to put into words. Through childhood wounds, broken family connections, identity struggles, and quiet loneliness, the author opens a deeply personal space where pain is acknowledged rather than dismissed.
What makes this book particularly powerful is its honesty. There is something incredibly relatable about the idea of smiling while breaking inside, saying “I’m fine” when you are anything but fine, and carrying emotions that nobody else seems to understand. M.O. A. doesn't try to turn these experiences into a neat success story. The focus remains on survival—the small, often invisible victories that allow someone to keep moving forward.
The writing feels intimate and vulnerable, almost like listening to someone finally say the things they have kept buried for years. That vulnerability gives the book its emotional strength. It reminds readers that healing isn't always dramatic. Sometimes healing simply means making it through another day, finding the courage to acknowledge your feelings, and realizing that your story deserves to be heard.
I especially appreciated that STILL BREATHING doesn't promise to “fix” the reader. Instead, it offers something much more meaningful: companionship. It tells those who feel isolated that their struggles are real, their emotions matter, and they are not alone.
This is a deeply emotional and reflective memoir for anyone who has experienced silence, loneliness, complicated relationships, or the struggle to keep going when life feels overwhelming.
Sometimes surviving is an achievement too.
And sometimes, still breathing is enough. 🕊️

Book Review – Still Breathing 📖🤍

Some books tell you a story, while some make you pause, feel, and quietly reflect on your own life. Still Breathing felt like the latter. Reading it was less like reading a memoir and more like being trusted with someone's most vulnerable thoughts—honest, raw, and deeply human.

The author takes us through a life marked by trauma, loneliness, emotional struggles, and the difficult journey of understanding oneself. What stayed with me the most was the honesty. There is no attempt to romanticize pain or present healing as something simple. Instead, the book allows the difficult emotions to exist as they are—messy, confusing, painful, but also filled with little moments of hope.

I particularly loved the way family relationships are explored. The impact of words, unspoken expectations, emotional burdens, and those small gestures of love that sometimes mean more than anything else are portrayed beautifully. One line that really stayed with me was, “You are not required to carry what isn’t yours.” Such a simple sentence, yet it holds a powerful reminder about boundaries, healing, and letting go of burdens we were never meant to carry.

What makes Still Breathing stand out is that it doesn't pretend to have all the answers. It simply sits with the reader through the difficult parts and reminds us that healing is not always linear. Sometimes, continuing to breathe, to hope, and to keep going is already a form of courage.

Emotional, honest, and deeply thought-provoking, Still Breathing is a memoir that stays with you even after you turn the last page. 🤍
