Jersey Shore with family, @baba3527 super human Aunt Barbara, our cousins and their babies! So much laughter, food, fun mixed with a few deep conversations and cocktails (we’re Irish after all 🤪)

So grateful for these humans and their peeps! by @author.taradelaney

Authors live with characters they create…there’s no way around it! In my case two distinct personas are responsible for creating characters and scenes in the “AUSTIN HEAT” series.

Tara Delaney: Therapist-author of books on Autism and Sensory Processing-dives deep into past trauma and how that impacts adult relationships. Convinced that the emotional heart drives her character driven stories.

Amari Nylix: A combo persona: Mae West and Ann Richards! Two fierce feminists-unapologetic about their feminine power! Convinced the steamy drama keeps readers coming back for more!

Hubby: “Chief Spice Researcher”: in charge of encouraging all things naughty and bringing the two worlds together!

The world can feel heavy…but when your friends, you met 30+ years ago while backpacking in Ireland, join you on an epic California adventure the air seems lighter! Laughter with friends is truly medicine to the soul! These two humans are examples in of grateful grace! @treanorlorraine 🙏❤️

Late recapping what was an extraordinary weekend @lovelitcon!

I met so many genuine, warm humans. @bathtubbookworm (Jess) and @chief_spice_researcher (Bill) were perfect PA’s and all around fun people! I’m married to one and have officially adopted the other! Don’t tell her mama😉

Such a pleasure to meet Cam and Doug the brains and heart behind this spectacular conference. Believe me, there was a tremendous amount of thought given to every detail and the heart showed in every organizer and volunteer.

The character dress up party was a blast! I felt sufficiently devilish dressing up as Margo Banks from @may_cobb “The Hunting Wives” Good guess: @paperbacktreasures

I had so much fun meeting new readers/friends and authors/friends! @baby_got_stacks Big 🥰!

The highlight was moderating the panel on “Neurodiversity and Romance”(I’m a pediatric occupational therapist so this was an opportunity to meld both professions) The panel was incredibly open and insightful. Thank you! @cblee_cblee @schwartzwords @becbetweenbooks

Also, I got to meet an author I have admired for a long time @kbromberg 🙏

Now, regrouping to embrace another great conference @sportsromancecon! I can’t wait! Last year blew my expectations away…this team has battled a difficult time in Minnesota and they have done so with conscientious grace! I’m look forward to seeing everyone again and meeting a fav influencer @djreadsbooks I have some super cool bracelets for this event @kobireadsbooks along with other great merch!

At the end of a year, I always think we could have done more, but this year I say: we survived and in between the heartbreaking moments, we laughed, traveled, celebrated, wrote stories, met new readers, and leaned heavily on those we love and trust…and welcomed others to lean on us❤️!

So grateful for those who yanked me through sad moments and pushed me to focus! @chief_spice_researcher @beneeknauer2620

So many amazing memories linked with this crazy writing journey! @mesh_bhakta @ashleycantu__ @speedreadstagram @bathtubbookworm @sportsromancecon @tanyabarstowflutteratx @wildsistersbookco

Cheers to 2026! by @author.taradelaney

Christmas in Austin has a way of softening even the most guarded hearts…especially when there are twinkling lights, holiday music in the air, and a slow dance at the Renaissance hotel that lingers a second too long😉

Dwayne wasn’t planning on falling for anyone, and Dr. Garcia Martinez certainly wasn’t planning on him…but some connections don’t wait for perfect timing. They just happen, wrapped in magic and mistletoe.

Book 5 is equal parts sweet, steamy ❤️‍🔥and heart-tugging…the kind of love story that sneaks up on you!

Perfect for stuffing stockings, breaking hearts (in the best way), and staying up way too late reading!

Find…”The One Who Taught Me” on AMAZON and tell me you didn’t fall for these two!

Love this reel @itsbeccamcdowell @mesh_bhakta the video 🙏

Looking for the perfect holiday getaway @renaustinhotel
