Hi friends! 👋🏼 Allow me to reintroduce myself for those of you who are new here!

My name is Marissa Giles and welcome to my official author page! This page doubles as both an informational page about my writing as well as a #booksta account!

👩🏻‍💼 ABOUT ME! I am an attorney and law professor by day and an author by night! I am a Florida native and love spending time with my wonderful husband, Aaron, my baby boy, Chase, and my two schnauzers, Townsend and Sadie! When I am not writing or reading, I love to travel the world, garden, attend my local theatre, and lay out at the beach! My guilty pleasure is curling up on the couch and binge watching true crime documentaries with a glass of wine.

📚 ABOUT THE BOOKS! HER EXODUS was the first novel that I wrote! It is a biblical fiction novel set in Ancient Egypt set during the Exodus. HER EXODUS is currently on the shelf while I focus my efforts on my next book, MRS. SHAKESPEARE! MRS. SHAKESPEARE is a historical fiction novel where Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway, is the true author of his works. If you like action, suspense, romance, history, a little bit of 🔥, and strong female main characters, my books are for you!

Kindle pic because I actually finished a non-fiction book! If you know me, I don’t read non-fiction. But I will always rise to the occasion to finish a book club book! Softly As I Leave You by Priscilla Presley was actually super interesting and had me sucked in. HUGE ASTERISK, the writing in this book was BAD. I am not sure who her editor was, but they must have been on vacation during the editing of this book. Nonetheless, there was some wild stuff in here that was interesting to read about. I didn’t know a ton about the Elvis lore, but now I’m locked in and ready to watch all the documentaries 😂 Overall, I give this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I was impressed that an autobiography had me wanting to actually read it, but the writing was just so bad it was hard to overlook. #debutauthor #bookrecs #bookreviews #presley #elvis by @author_mgiles
