“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.” — Brené Brown 🧘🏽‍♀️

🌻 July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 🌻 Therapy has been so rewarding for me. So, in honor of #BlackPeopleGoToTherapy month, I want to share my experience with therapy since overcoming postpartum depression and dealing with anxiety. My statements are my experiences and in no way do I want this post to seem as if I’m pushing my perspective onto anyone else 🚨

🌻 It’s okay to pray and go to therapy.
🌻 It’s okay to shop around and find who works best for you.
🌻 Your friends and family are not good therapists (in my experience) 🫣
🌻 Develop healthy coping habits…. iykyk!
🌻 It’s seriously okay to not be okay.
🌻 It’s ain’t for everybody, but it’s for me! That’s it, that’s all.

You’d be surprised at the trauma that the next person has experienced, but chooses to ignore in order to create a new reality for themselves. If you need help, go!

Love y’all 🥰🌻 by @authorangelray

: freedom from pride or arrogance : the quality or state of being humble.

I was told that one sign of a good leader is a good team. I must be amazing because my #GlowSquad from @raysglowsugar is arguably the best team on this side of heaven. From the planning to implementation, I want to say THANK YOU to my team. I love them so much. From random anxiety attacks to holding back tears, this group of people never let my crown fall. They’ve been there from the beginning and have never left 🥹 #Glow4ever taken in Holly Springs, Mississippi by @authorangelray
