This story was never intended to be a trilogy.

I started Curse of the Jaguar back in 2007, thinking it was going to be a standalone book. I was fed up with not being able to find what I wanted to read: fast-paced, exciting, adventurous romances without the explicit scenes.

So I wrote my own.

But when I got to the end of the book, I realized there was more to the story and a sequel was born.

As I neared the end of book two, I realized it still wasn't over. Unfortunately, it took me ten years to write and publish book 3, wrapping up the trilogy, thanks to some serious, unplanned life events.

Now you can read the entire, completed trilogy on Kindle Unlimited and Amazon. The 🔗 is in my bio above.

These are fast-paced, high-stakes, no spice romances with a dash of paranormal. There is no swearing and some moderate action violence.

If you like enemies to lovers, you'll love this paranormal romance book!

It's full of banter, humor, wit, prank wars, amazing chemistry, and tons of tension.

Not to mention sizzling kisses but no open door explicit scenes or swearing.

I had so much fun finding quotes for this post, I had five or six pages full and had to narrow them down to one.

I may have to do a second post with some more.

I saw another author posting reviews from her characters and thought it was an awesome idea. Unfortunately, I wasn't too nice to my characters and put them through a lot. They have a lot to say about that. Think these glowing reviews will help my author status? 🤣 Yeah, that's what I think, too.

Okay, I'm not a trend follower, but I thought this one would be fun. But instead of just asking just my husband why I'd be unfit for war, I asked my whole family. Their answers were rather humorous, if not truthful. 😁

They gave me more than 10 answers, collectively, but I whittled it down to the top 10. Here they are:

1. I wear high heels too much. (Okay, only when I'm wearing a dress.)
2. I wouldn't survive the training. (Yeah, they're probably right on this one.)
3. I'm too oblivious and would run in front of the guns. (Okay, it was just the one time, and it was a BB 🔫)
4. I'd nag the general about his bad habits and get kicked out. (Probably)
5. I'd gossip with the enemy. (Again, probably)
6. I'd be asking the enemy their life story. (Well... people have interesting lives)
7. I'd be distracted by the scenery and architecture (True)
8. I couldn't sneak up on anyone (Again, true. Especially if I had to go down a flight of stairs)
9. My knees or back would hurt too much with all the gear. (Just because I threw my back out that one time... Okay, maybe it happened 3 times...)
10. I'm too concerned about what I eat. (They're right. I'd be asking what preservatives are in those MRE's)

Lol. Yeah, I'm not disagreeing with them. I'm unfit for war. 😁
