~ THE NECESSITY OF OUTLINES ~

Imagine a movie… that was made with a production budget of less than a million dollars… manages to collect half-a-billion dollars at box office.

In such a scenario… the studio executives may feel a compulsion to make a sequel… knowing that making a good sequel… is easier said than made.

Imagine someone provides them… the following comic-strip:

DEVIL - “You deserve some justice… in the form of vengeance, my dear boy.”
BEAR - “But I am dead.”
DEVIL - “Of course, you are… why else will you… be here in Hell?!”
BEAR - “The dead never get any justice… and definitely not in Hell.”
DEVIL - “There can be exceptions… when I grant them.”
BEAR - “Like what?!”
DEVIL - “I get you back on Earth… alive!”
BEAR - “How?”
DEVIL - “By #Possessing you!!!”

Now… if the executive council form a consensus… that the premise is interesting enough… they will still need a narrative… and the most briefly detailed one… is the format that is officially called… an #Outline.

After dreaming that his bank balance… is now worth more than half-a-billion dollars… a young upcoming director decided… that it is now a good time… to make another smallest-budget sequel… to his charming horror film.

So, he dreamt… another weirder dream:

After blowing out his fucked-up brain… #Bear finds himself in Heaven… stalked by the missing soul of #Nikki… but with a catch!

There is no #Obsession in #Nikki’s whitish soul… but instead… she is quite a #Godly companion now!!

Some get turned on by #Trends… and a few may get equally turned off… by the same.

A rare few… can get perpetually turned on… by the virtue of imagining… just the very opposite of any volatile and ever-changing trends!

When it comes to appreciating… and remembering the very best of the opposite sex… hardly any trend-followers… manage to make their coveted way… into such a non-trending… but highly imaginative list!!!

~ THE KITE-MAKER ~

Once an Indian boy was born… with an immense curiosity and interest… in kites.

The initial wonder of watching colorful kites 🪁 … flying high in the sky was bedazzling enough.

And as he began to grow into adolescence… he became more intuitively interested… in the mechanics behind the flights of kites… more than perhaps in anything else.

One day, he bought a kite… made by an Indian maker… and asked him if… it will fly well over American… or European or any goddam other sky.

The kite-maker thought for sometime… and then declared proudly… that he has designed the kite well enough… to soar over India!

I remember replying… “Isn’t the sky… quite same everywhere?!”

~ KAHA NA… SECRET HAIN ~

Once before going off to college… a young boy was loafing around in his hometown, somewhere in India… killing his useless time in many useless ways… after somehow passing the high-school years… with mostly mediocre mark-sheets.

During those days of utter nonsense… he happened to watch a film… in the nearest shabby theater… and had an amazingly unique experience.

A debut ‘actor’… played a dual role in this film. The boy really liked the stylized role in the second half… and loathed the most commonly gullible idiotic role… who dominated the first half.

However, the boy was not an experienced moviegoer… and so the impression of the second half … managed to override all the irritation… of watching the first half of the film.

However, maybe a juvenile 18-year-old… can be impressed in this way… but not a film veteran.

~ FURTHER MISADVENTURES OF MANN SINGH ~

When a reputed film critic… decided to direct a film in those holy days of the nineties… our critically respected #Mann… got an opportunity to play a terrorist named M. Khan.

In this appalling snore-fest of a film… Khan was not only the only good thing in it… (but not significant enough for any salvation of the film)… he also gave a critical go-ahead… to train a gullible fool for the task of long-range shooting.

However… in the most ridiculous (and equally elaborate)… training ever undergone onscreen… the boy probably got more ‘highly’ skilled… in all unrelated and insignificant stuffs… expect for the one most needed!
