My journey has just begun. Starting with just pencil & paper, follow me as I work on my debut novel.

Looking to make authentic connections with writers, readers, artists, and like-minded people. I'm writing my debut novel and would love to network <3 Drop me a comment if you can (please don't try to market services to me) #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
I finished transcribing the first chapter today:) it's only about 2,000 words long but I'm going to be combing back through and adding details and dialogue to flesh it out a bit more. #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
I wrote an entire novel BY HAND! Now I have to actually transcribe the whole thing...🤯 #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
I finished my FIRST DRAFT!!! Yes, this video is over an hour in length but luckily for you all, I sped it up to 100% and it's now under a minute long! #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
Almost finished writing the initial manuscript of my first novel!!! #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
I Frankenstein-ed my notebook! Fun Fact: I’m almost done with my initial manuscript! Not So Fun Fact: I only had two pages (four if you count both sides) of my original notebook remaining. Fun Fact: I’m a crafty witch. Here’s my “EASY” ten-step process. Step 1: Take picture of blank page. Step 2: Upload picture to drawing app (I use ProCreate). Step 3: Using a ruler (and the picture as a template), measure out the length, width, as well as the spacing of the dots and binder holes. Plot those out on the screen. (I learned that 1/16th of an inch is approximately 6 pixels…) Step 4: Take new image and put it in your word document and scale it to size. Step 5: Print Step 6: Cut out holes. Step 7: Realize the holes are misaligned. Step 8: Adjust image six more times until it’s right. Step 9: Cut out a bazillion small squares with off brand exacto knife. Step 10: Pull apart binding and add new pages before pushing the rings back together. And … ta da! I have more pages! by @authoreclark
The notebook isn't Frankenstein ... it's Frankenstein's MONSTER #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
Recording audio is tricky... I recorded the voiceover for this in my bathroom 😅 #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
Day 92 - Let's talk about the dreaded writer's block! #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
I know it's a bit premature, but I'm working on a little mock up of what I want the cover design for The Demon's Bridegroom to look like. I'm using a program called ProCreate on my iPad... and of course (as you can see) I'm not tracing or using any sort of generative programming to create this image. I didn't spend too long on this... maybe an hour. #books #author #bookstagram #booktok #coverart by @authoreclark
Today's topic: authentic connections. Do you want to know what is inauthentic? All you bots telling me my work looks impressive and promising (which it obviously is...lol) and then telling me to send my post to the Coffee Book Escape. Yeah, that's a scam. But thanks for the uptick in interactions, I guess. #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
Writing a novel by hand!!! Day 87! (Listen closely and you'll hear my dog walking around and breathing heavily behind me 😅) #books #author #writing #bookstagram #booktok by @authoreclark
