I can FINALLY reveal the title and cover for the explosive finale to the #HouseofMarionne series! The exclusive first edition is THE MOST gorgeous casing and metallic end papers in the series. Trust me on this, you don’t want to miss!

Pre order links in bio.

———

Seductive magic. Deadly betrayal.

With the future of the Order clouded in uncertainty, and the evil within its ranks coming to the surface, Quell Marionne has nowhere left to turn.

Everyone Quell cares about is gone and she still can’t escape the powerful legacy that wants to destroy her. But when she uncovers an earth-shattering revelation, she must choose: be the hero the magic world needs or save Jordan.

Meanwhile, a darkness festers inside Dragunheart Jordan Wexton. His path to survival means becoming the monster he was bred to hate, if he can overcome the power rotting within himself.

In a world where the line between proper and forbidden magic blurs, Quell and Jordan, along with two unlikely allies – bitter assassin Yagrin Wexton and magicless Heir Nore Ambrose, must navigate a treacherous path where freedom hangs by a thread. Can love tip the scales toward freedom? Or will rivalries and deadly betrayals shatter their hearts and destroy the world they once knew?

I don’t have words 😭
Deep breaths.
Let me try.

Thank you to the entire team at @penguinteen! Jen L, Jen K, Casey, Ruta, Simone, Alex, Felicity, Shannon, James, Theresa, Shanta, Kaitlin, Jaleesa, Tracy and SOOOO many others who have given so much to make this happen. And it all began with believing that I could break a mold and shatter a ceiling so many in this industry don’t even see. Thank you thank you thank you for believing, for supporting, for fighting for this book to be all that it could be. You have been incredible to partner with 🩷. And most importantly thank you for hearing *and* listening—because those are not the same thing. Thank you for giving me the freedom in this industry to write what I want. 🩷 We are unstoppable ✨

To @jodiesque , my ace 🥂 thank you for seeing me, my writing talent, and believing. I tell you this all the time but you changed my life. It’s only up from here !!✨

The face of a mom of three kids who at 7a realized two things 1) her shirt is on backwards and she’s already in the parking lot at school. Not a shirt. No, picture a 3/4 zip up. There’s a full collar clawing at my chin and a draft on my back I somehow missed; and 2) The Heart Trials is steadily finding its way to readers. And the consensus is—it’s a banger.

Thank you @pwkidsbookshelf ! Writing dystopian isn’t something I thought I’d ever get to do. It’s kind of breaking my brain that The Heart Trials is even mentioned here in the same newsletter that features the author who MADE me fall in love with dystopian. Yep, it was Divergent for me. I absolutely love HG don’t get me wrong. But Divergent is the series Caitlin & I would read, debate, repeat for moooonthss!! So excuse me while I go pinch myself.

How is this real?!
I wrote a dystopian novel y’all.
Me?!

❤️In a world where love is forbidden, The Heart Trials follows Axira Merreri, a lowborn smuggler, who enters a deadly dating competition to steal her freedom. Only to win she’ll have to wield a weapon she’s never trusted—her heart.

5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟!!

YA dystopian romantasy that has similar vibes to The Rose Bargain? Yes please!

I adored this book. I have said it so many times this year, YA is blowing me away.

Emotional connections? Illegal. Trials to win a spot into the "elite" where they can show love? Entered. "Medicine" that helps people feel normal so they comply? Given.

The premise was so solid, the romance was strong, and the twist was INSANE. Book 2 TODAY please!

Thank you SO MUCH @penguinteen for putting one of my favorite books of the year into my hands!

What a night @parkbooksmd ! This was such a special evening. From one of my irl besties Caitlin joining me in conversation, to our tucked away & so peaceful air bnb, to Valerie’s excitement at being our Tournament of Hearts winner. YOU HAVE TO SWIPE TO SEE!!!! This was such a sweet night. I love this store and their team so much. Thank you for having me and thank you to everyone who braved terrible traffic to be there! I think 1 hr 45 min drive was the worst I heard. My gosh. So so grateful we could share our love of all things books and our mutual disgust of Aegon lol. Until next time 🥂!!!
