Hi ya.

Instagram feels weird right now, and I’m not sure why. But I still want the world to know about my books. Part of it is sales so I can pay the mortgage and do all the adult things, of course, but also, I’m just really proud of them. They’re written about women like you and me. Women who make choices for reasons that don’t always make sense, but who learn from and grow their experiences. Women who are not even remotely perfect, and we love them all the more for it.

Hurray, hurray!

DOLL PARTS is now available on Libby/Overdrive eBook through the Nashville Public Library! And don’t forget you can check out FOR EVA out as well! I don’t know anyone who isn’t on a budget these days, so hopefully this will make my books accessible to more readers. The library has certainly been my best friend this year!📚

Shooooooooooooo. LIFE, y’all. I was sick most of April (still coughing 😷), we had a job shake up in the family (corporate America strikes again! 😜) and my cat ate half his fur off (psycho! 🌀). But I passed the written portion of my Pilates exam, read some good books, watched some good tv, and lost myself in some oldie but goodie tunes. Also, I may have written a couple chapters of a new b-o-o-k. Stay tuned ….. ? 🤷‍♀️ by @authorjendavis

Because that’s the world we live in, I said.

But that’s what’s made everyone so lonely in the first place, Jules. We give up our time in exchange for money, so we don’t have the energy for friendship, don’t have space for anyone who isn’t directly useful to us. We partner off, we combine incomes, we make babies, buy a house. We look out for one person only, and they look out for us, until the pressure gets too much, and it all falls apart. It’s not working, not for anyone, as far as I can see.
