Thank you for the perfect spring board, @mandziypat ! My Thorns For Your Roses is an adult #retelling of the 500+ year-old Scottish faerie tale “Tam Lin.” On Lark’s 24th birthday, she is burdened with a curse of inconvenience for insulting the faerie lord of the local forest. In order to escape her complicated home life, she needs to find a tolerable husband, but everyone assumes the rose rooted in her scalp is from a mysterious suitor already courting her. In order to quell the rumors and secure a match, she must visit the forest every day to convince Tamlin to remove the rose. But there are dangers in the faerie realm - and falling for the faerie who cursed her may lead to Lark’s undoing. #bookstagram #2026debuts #indiebooks #romantasy by @authorkargyres

Strangers read my book and liked it! If these review quotes snag your interest, check out My Thorns For Your Roses today. Even readers unfamiliar with the “original” Scottish faerie tale of Tam Lin can enjoy the story and those already familiar with the tale will notice a lot of fun Easter eggs I inserted into my own retelling. #JusticeForTamlin #bookstagram #newreleases #bookreview #MTFYR by @authorkargyres

I’m sick, so instead of a reel with my delightful face, you get me scrolling through the @theindiebookfair digital catalog. This month’s theme is Sweater Weather! ☕️ 🍁 Do I spy @l_n_holmes’ The Floating Castle in this month’s issue? 👀 Be sure to subscribe to their monthly catalog for clickable links to learn more about all these indie books! #bookstagram #indiebooks #indieauthors #shopsmall #holidays by @authorkargyres

Does the #ao3 outage have you down? Follow me, I have just the fix. MY THORNS FOR YOUR ROSES is a #retelling of the Scottish faerie tale “Tam Lin.” Not that #Tamlin, the OG Tamlin who shapeshifts into men and women, plants, animals, the occasional article of clothing… 👀 I wrote MY THORNS FOR YOUR ROSES with old school faerie tale vibes, original songs, and an adult heroine who doesn’t get a training montage to become the very best that ever was. The characters are flawed and broken and trying their best to heal. ❤️‍🩹 come read this faerie tale romance. #bookstagram #indieauthor by @authorkargyres

If you are looking to purchase a copy of My Thorns For Your Roses outside of the US, look no further than your local bookstore! I published through Draft2Digital which uses the same printers as books published through Ingram, which means my books are available far and wide. In other news, My Thorns For Your Roses will have an #audiobook early next year! I’m at a loss for word with how much this means to me. Thank you Nicole Eve @kathlyn_nicole_milne and Reid Andrews @kennymackieva. ❤️ #audiobooknarrator #bookstagram #tamlin #retelling by @authorkargyres

Monroe County, get out to vote! We’re wrapping up early voting and I need you all to get out there and make your voice heard. Being this far behind compared to our 2018 numbers is stressing me out! #earlyvoting #midterms2026 #hoosier #politics #yourvotematters by @authorkargyres

I’ve thrilled to announce I’ve hired the talented @kathlyn_nicole_milne and @kennymackieva to bring the characters of My Thorns For Your Roses to life! I knew in my heart I wanted native Scottish narrators for my favorite faerie tale and I’m so pleased that dream is coming true. Please give them both a follow! #comingsoon #audiobook #indiebook #tamlin #retelling by @authorkargyres
