I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I started my author journey. It’s been an interesting journey with many blessings as well as some lessons. Being an author was a journey God wanted me to fulfill. It’s not always an easy or glamorous journey like others think it is. It’s definitely another job with trying to showcase your books at different events, in book stores and etc.

I am proud that I was able to release my solo book in January! I know that more books are definitely on the horizon! Currently, writing my chapter for a leadership book that I was invited to be in.

In this 5th year, I really want to be able to showcase my books in more women’s conferences. As well as leverage being an author with more speaking engagements.

I am thankful to everyone who has supported me by purchasing books, telling me about shows and events, attending my events, sharing my posts and nominating me for awards. Also, thank you to my friends and family that want to talk about my books whenever you see me in person. It’s nice to know that others actually keep up with my journey!

This book is based on real-life experiences. It is what I’ve learned over the years since beginning my author career. I know things differ in various parts of the United States and the world, and since the COVID-19 pandemic, things have changed. I started my author career during the pandemic, which changed my experience and how I got to celebrate the release of my books. However, one constant thing worldwide is our love for quality knowledge and stories and writing and publishing them.

It’s event day! Praying it doesn’t rain because my books wouldn’t like the rain.

My goal is to sell out of the collaborative books that I have less than 10 copies of by the end of the year at the latest. Collaborative titles will NOT be restock once sold out.

A cicada literally slammed into my window twice this morning, sat there completely silent for a moment to catch its breath, and then just hung out.

And honestly? It felt like the exact metaphor for the journey of Boss Babes Who Pray.

Sometimes you hit unexpected barriers, sometimes you spend seasons quietly doing the deep work underground, and sometimes you just need to pause before finding your voice again.

Speaking of milestones... looking back at this book’s journey blows my mind. It was my #1 top-selling book last year and is holding strong at #3 this year! 🙌🏾✨🙏🏾

But all good seasons evolve. As we prepare for what’s next, I am officially down to my last 10 copies of Boss Babes Who Pray.

Happy Wednesday!

Sometimes we go through things to show others it’s possible. I feel like I went through everything with endometriosis to help other women not have to.

Endometriosis is so common and many women we know have it. But we don’t talk about it because it’s taboo to speak about female issues. I really wish that we talking about it more in our families, with our friends as well as medical professionals.

You never know how your story can help others. In the last few years, I have found out information from others that could have helped me in my endometriosis journey early on. Who knows it could have possibly led to me getting officially diagnosed sooner than 20 years. Share your story! by @authorletysha

Let’s talk about the Pretty Women Experience KC 2026 Summit on Saturday! Baby, it was AMAZING!!
Room full of POWERHOUSE WOMEN that brought that energy! I have never been in a room like that before. This conference was so powerful that the enemy tried to stop it. I mean GPS giving people the wrong directions to get to the venue. My GPS acted like it didn’t know where I was to even give me directions. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Thankfully, I knew in general where it was.

Definitely made some new friends/sisters at the event! It was amazing to be on the panel with some of my Sister friends! Thank you God for letting me be in that room because it was exactly what I needed. What happened in that room was definitely an experience! by @authorletysha
