📖 Unexpectedly Bookish by Elise Kennedy

Hands down this is my favorite of the series so far! Just looking at this cover, you would never guess how spicy this book is or how good our MMC Reed is at dirty talking.

I loved how supporting these two were for each other and the love and support they showed each other even when they questioned if they deserved it. This one was fun and I can see myself reading this one again very soon!

Rachel Dane and Grayson Owen’s did a phenomenal job at narrating and bringing Reed and Pearl to life. You could feel the tension and chemistry throughout their voices. They really made this story perfect for me. The performance was amazing!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ Tropes ✨
• Black Cat x Golden Retriever (Opposites Attract)
• Plus Size FMC
• Virgin MMC
• Brother’s Best Friend
• Autism Representation
• Roommates (Forced Proximity)
• Texting/Hidden Identity

📖 Kiss the Villain by Rina Kent

This was not my favorite Rina Kent book. God of Fury is my favorite MM romance, but it took a while for me to feel the chemistry between Kayden and Gareth. Both of these men did grow individually and I enjoyed the story more towards the end of the book than I did at the beginning.

If you enjoy a forbidden MM romance between professor and student with dark romance elements then you will love this one!! The audio only made this book better!!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ Tropes ✨

📖 Wretched by Emily McIntire

This became my favorite of the series REAL quick!!! Once I started this one, I couldn’t put the book down. I had to know what would happen next. I loved Nicholas, but Evelina was a badass. I love that she was independent, wasn’t afraid to get things done herself, and all around just a badass with a hell of a backbone!

The chemistry between Nicholas and Evelina was so good and I only wish that we could’ve had more of it!! This book was on the shorter side, but overall, I loved this one!! If you’re a fan of retellings, enemies to lovers, and a dark romance between a secret agent and a criminal, this one is for you!!

Loving this series and cannot wait to continue!!!

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ Tropes ✨
• Fairytale Retelling
• Enemies to Lovers
• Secret Agent MMC x Criminal FMC
• Reverse Grumpy x Sunshine
• Dark Romance

📖 Doubt by Kathy Lockheart

This is the first book I have read in the Sinners and Saints series and I loved it!! I will be going back to read books 1-3 and will be continuing this series!! I really enjoyed all of these characters and the found family relationships that I could see with not only the main characters, but also the side characters.

I was a bit confused when I started this one, just because I haven’t read the other books in the series and you could tell that Faith and Ryker had some type of relationship before this book started. Once it was explained and we had some flashbacks, I understood how they had such strong feelings for each other.

Andi Arndt is one of my favorite narrators!! She does a phenomenal job at bringing her characters to life and drawing you into a story. Especially with the mystery in this story and the raw emotions of hearing Faith’s past and her heartbreak over the situation she found herself in. Thomas Oakley is a new to me narrator and he did a great job at narrating the male characters. You could feel and hear the connection and the protection Ryker had toward Faith.

If you’re a fan of a protective hero, forced proximity, found family, and a forbidden romance then you need to check out this book and try the audio, it is worth it!!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ Tropes ✨
• Forbidden Romance
• Protective Hero
• Touch Her and Perish
• Secrets and Sins
• Forced Proximity
• Found Family

📖 A Knight Before Christmas by Cara Stout

I really enjoyed this cute young adult holiday romance. The dating show plot was unique for young adults of this age. These kids were still in high school, but looking for love. Even though some were just looking for fame on the show.

I really loved the relationship between Ripley and Garrick. The friendship these two built between each other and slowly falling in love was truly adorable. I also thought the dating show being filmed at the theme park was fun especially for this age group!!

Bailey Carr and Brandon Francis did a wonderful job at narrating these voices. The tone of voice fit the younger characters very well. The pacing of the story and narration was good throughout the book! Once I started the story, I could not pause it and without the audio, I don’t know if I would have picked it up in the first place being YA!

If you enjoy clean and cute young adult romance, small town theme park setting during the holidays, and friends to lovers while being behind the scenes on a dating show then you need to pick this one up!!

📖 Claimed by the Orc King by Roxy Taylor

I enjoyed the plot to this one and really enjoyed that it was a portal fantasy romance. The fated mates trope also makes me instantly fall in love with a story! I did rate this one a bit lower as I felt the story could have been a bit shorter and was a bit repetitive.

Dylan Reilly Fitzpatrick and Vivienne LaRue did a great job at narrating this one! It’s always hard for me to find a good audio narrator for monster romances and I really enjoyed this one! These characters and this world was brought to life within this audio, which I really loved!!

If you enjoy an orc x human romance, fated mates & insta-love, and a protective touch her and 💀 MMC then this is the one for you!!

Rating: 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

• Fated Mates
• Portal Fantasy Romance
• Touch Her and 💀 energy

📖 The Call Room by Jaqueline Rose

This was my first sapphic romance and I enjoyed it!! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read one, but I’m happy to say I can check that off my list!!

This was a nice slow burn, medical setting romance, which I enjoyed as well! I may need to find some additional medical romance!! I wasn’t a fan of the miscommunication, I feel like these characters were not great at communicating, which can cause a lot of frustration.

Audrey Obeyn did a great job at narrating all of our characters! It made me feel that I was also working side by side with them! The pacing was good throughout the story and she did a good job at changing the tone for multiple different characters.

If you enjoy a medical setting with some workplace romance and a slow burn sapphic romance, you need to listen to this one!!
