Finally remembered to bring in the pants to get this captured! Last year our son’s 4th grade class created pants for me inspired by the stories I read to them at an author visit.

Of course I read 10 Ballet Dancers and some of my works in progress.

Our son had been working on his own stories inspired by his writing Mama and other favorite authors. You can see his BatFrog on my leg at the very end of the clip.

Just came across this.

The very ending had my heart bursting! 10 Ballet Dancers debuted when our double rainbow baby girl was 8 months old. I always wondered what she must have thought to see a picture of her Mama in a book.

Today I stopped and smelled the beautiful roses outside of our kids’ school. I love the smell of roses and yellow roses were my dad’s favorite.

God beside me, a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes on my back, a family who loves me, friends who check in on me.

On @writingmuscleworkout the prompt from Tarn Wilson’s book had me writing a memoir of a photo.

I chose this one; one of my fave Disney photos from the summer of 5th grade. I know it was that summer because I wore that Guess Jeans USA outfit in the school patriotic show.

Do you know where we are in this pic at #disneyland?

I do, just curious if you do too.

As writers we are told to write what we know and to pull from memories. This one was beautiful and sad to process as my dad passed my Freshman Year of High School, but the memory this brought back was all the fun trips to Disneyland and how my dad loved to take pictures.

Still past my bedtime. One thing falls apart, my bedtime consistency while another comes together my working my writing muscle! Someday they’ll balance out 😂

But for now grateful that I got my 5-minutes of writing in. I hope that you did too.
