TW: grief🥀 It’s been two years. I didn’t know that losing her would open up the floodgates to things I have been carrying with me my entire life. Trying to navigate this while having c-ptsd and sudden health issues has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve had to change how I do things while still trying to balance everything. My family has had to learn what this means for us moving forward and it’s a guilt I often carry because I’m so used to going through things by myself. But being an author and meeting/connecting with readers has given me life. Writing has allowed me to escape into these worlds where these characters come alive where we get to see them smile, laugh and go through it in their own ways and see the moments where they find their strength. Releasing Last Ride of the Umbra Fae was an unexpected journey and a side quest I had to take. Though it was meant to be a standalone, I couldn’t leave this world. Not after seeing that lone raven sitting on a streetlight. And now, FEATHERS AND SHATTERED SOULS is done. I can’t wait for Raven’s story to be heard.What I have will never leave me but she has shown me how to love. I will cherish those around me and continue to help others where I can. I’m filled with so much love and gratitude that I had my grandma. She was incredible. She was fierce. And she was my Isabelle.
