I’m literally just a girl living her absolute dream as a fantasy romance author 🥹

If you told me five years ago I’d be signing my romantasy books at bookish events… I would’ve ugly-cried and said, “I don’t believe you, but I want to.”

I still struggle to believe it some days (most days lately, ya gurl is feeling burned out!)

And like a lot of people navigating mental health, I have really good days where I’m on top of the world and nothing can bring me down, and really hard ones (these ones suck so bad and drain my soul and creativity). So when readers show up to my book signings… when you come meet me, talk to me, hug me and ask to take a picture with me??? I’m like: who? me?

I’m also like: This means the world to me! How did I get so lucky?

It also reminds me that I am not, in fact, dreaming, this is real life, and I get to live it with you.

And, probably most important, is that I’m ALLOWED to keep reaching for it. (This is hard for the imposter syndrome to accept.)

So, in true fashion, I’ve waxed poetic and sligtly chaotically about these events, but the big question is, which event are you coming to? 🖤

Also, I have a 3d printer now and can basically design anything and print it?!? (Okay, science! Lol) So, what freebies would you like to see? Little book page holders? Tiny statues? IDK, brainstorm with me!

I’m also a binge watcher, so I’m all up to date on Heated Rivalry, Bridgerton, and Dinosaurs (yes, I watched TF out of that the MOMENT it dropped on netflix.)

I can’t believe I get to say this, but every single book I’ve written so far is getting an audiobook thanks to Tantor Media starting this January!
And if you look closely…you might just spot the name of the sequel to We Were Meant to Burn. 👀🖤

There’s something magical about getting to see your dream lineup slowly come together like this and it means the world to me to have you all along for the ride.

After finishing Book 2 of the Ashes & Ruin saga, I’ll be diving right into writing Book 3. But there’s also a new romantasy project I’m wildly obsessed with (and maybe, possibly, already 80k words into…don’t look at me like that 😅).

How to romanticize release week… just kidding, how to SURVIVE it.

IT’S OFFICIALLY RELEASE WEEK, REBELLION! Which means I’m about to experience approximately 47 emotions at once, and Amanda is taking over my socials because apparently, I cannot be trusted to function like a normal human right now.

So, here’s your survival guide:

1. Have a damn good team behind you to help carry the chaos.
2. Have an amazing, supportive partner who reminds you that you’re human and not a book-launching robot.
3. Have a Last Brain Cell Keeper who will BULLY you into loving yourself and your work. And if you don’t listen? She WILL recruit your husband so they can gang up on you. Ask me how I know. 👀
4. REST. RECOVER. BREATHE. You just wrote a whole damn BOOK. You created an entire world and poured pieces of yourself into it. THAT IS HUGE.

Release week is exciting, terrifying, and exhausting. But in the middle of all the chaos, remember to be proud of yourself. You did the thing. You wrote the book. You made it here.

♥️ 𝗪𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻 🔥by @authornicoletteelzieis ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ absolutely fantastic and everything you could want in a romantasy!

Nix is an assassin and fighter, raised for one job only at the hands of a malicious mother. After an invasion gone wrong, she’s left to rot in a violent usurper’s prison. Fast forward a few months, she’s rescued? by a team of mercenaries. She’s lost access to her magic and without it and any other resources she doesn’t have the ability to get away and is stuck with her rescuers for a multi-month trek through a dark magical jungle. What could possibly go wrong? Or more likely, what could possibly go right… 😒

The characters are fantastic. Complicated histories, complex feelings, empathy. ❤️‍🩹 Malakai, Dom, Elias, Lian, and Keran all have their own traumatic histories they’ve bonded through, working on, and healing from. But can you truly trust a team that was paid to save you to really care? 💔
