✨Happy 1st birthday to *Chronic Illness & Eating Disorders*! One year since it was released into the world—I hope it continues to help those who need it. 📚🎉

💫This journey has been a wild ride. The marathon truly began after release day, and since then, I have had the opportunity to speak at conferences, webinars, podcasts🎙️and many other events. I have also had the privilege of connecting with people from all over the world. 🌏

The new relationships and meaningful conversations have meant so much to me. To everyone who has been part of this journey, I am eternally grateful. 🩷

I had such an amazing experience today on Good Day PA! I’ve been watching the author Spotlight for a long time and it was really exciting to be on the spotlight just a few days after my official book release!

Amy Kehm was amazing!! Thank you 🩷

I was handed my questions and took some time in one of the quiet rooms to get my thoughts together and practice out loud a little bit. The other guests in the green room had been on there many times including a really fun band.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share about my book, chronic illnesses, eating disorders, as well as the people I hope to reach. I also got to share about my upcoming event in the end of the month!

And this is exactly why I share so much! Hearing someone else’s story decades ago is what changed my life and let me know that I could get better. Throughout the ups and downs of life, I still need to work on my mental health, but I have never had to return to a drink or a disordered relationship with food. It was such a pleasure to spend time today with these passionate, caring providers. I’ve known Leiza for over 15 years, and I feel truly honored to be part of this field and connected to a community of people who are so kind, compassionate, and committed to their work.

It’s a rare gift to find a group where you can genuinely be yourself. I’m grateful for the Renfrew reunion and for reconnecting with colleagues I hadn’t seen in a long time—and, of course, for the pumpkin donut!🎃👻

A Support Circle for Clinicians with Chronic Medical Conditions: A Space to Unmask

Are you a clinician living with a chronic medical condition?
Balancing life, family, and work often means wearing many hats — and rarely having a place to take them off. So many of us move through the world masked, without a space to simply be a person navigating our own challenges.
Many clinicians with chronic illness feel misunderstood and unseen, even while caring deeply for others. We wanted to create a space where masks can come off — a place to connect, share honestly, and support one another.
We will be meeting monthly in a supportive, confidential space centered on connection and community.

My rant about this article and their take on “sickfluencers” and it being all of a sudden cool to be chronically ill. I have many thoughts but follow my stream of consciousness here. This was my initial reaction after reading the article.
