It’s so much safer when it’s gated!! And man can we enjoy our time when nobody there! lol I’m always on high alert when we are out of the house but can chill a bit and have some fun with the kids when I’m not worried about other people.

James and Royce both can only swing in the baby swings and of course if there’s people there with younger children I always let them use it before we try but then it’s a battle on waiting for our turn. So empty parks? Our absolute favorite!

People always ask how I got my kids to where they’re at and it’s because I put in that work every single day! I locked in the day I got the first autism diagnosis and I level up each year. I have two severe level 3 autistic Nonspeaking boys and one of my boys also has fragile X syndrome which is an intellectual disability…

We don’t do any therapy and I completely homeschool…

We tried therapy in those early years and it just wasn’t for us. If it works for you great but you also need to be putting in that work at home.

It starts with you and you got this… you just gotta do it. 🖤

Me and the boys dad looove being outside. One of the main things we did when we first started dating 11 years ago. So even those we have autistic kids that like being in their bubble and need their tablets for communication and for comfort doesn’t mean we ain’t gunna do some exposure therapy and get them OUTSIDE baby! lol we go as many times as the weather, attitudes and work lets us! It’s our happy place 🖤✨

This was a last minute idea so we forgot our tent for Royce lol but considering he didn’t have his little safe bubble he still did great and we all got to play for a bit before we decided to head back into town.

We also saw a bear! So outside time and zoo lollol

I homeschool so I’m constantly updating visuals and PECS around the house lol this probably the 5th ABC wall I’ve put up but I’ll do anything to keep the learning going.. they’re visual learners and this is what works for us 🖤✨
