(3/3) “While New Orleans offered a rich mix of classics, Atlanta feels like a true melting pot of automotive enthusiasm. On any given weekend; you might see beautifully preserved classics, modern supercars, and rare imports all sharing the same space.   What I appreciate most about Atlanta is how similar the sense of community feels. One of my main reasons for moving to Atlanta was to be closer to friends and family while building a stronger network. And the car scene has been a meaningful reminder that I made the right decision. The cars & coffee at @portraitcoffee hosted by @autoculturas really set the tone for me. Seeing people from all walks of life come together over a shared passion for cars, in a curated environment, made for an unforgettable introduction to the city. That experience also captured my favorite aspect of car culture: its ability to create genuine connections. Cars may be the common denominator, but the friendships, conversations, and memories are what keep people coming back.   And with that being said - one of the most misunderstood aspects of car culture is the assumption that it’s dominated by a younger crowd chasing the loudest exhausts or fastest machines. Which hasn’t been my experience at all, especially in Atlanta. There’s no age limit or single definition of what an enthusiast should be. Whether you’re drawn to track performance, custom builds, classic silhouettes, or simply the stories behind certain cars, there’s a place for you. Cars are driven by people, and so is the culture. I love that machines designed to move us from one place to another can also bring us together. Deepening our connection to communities, and creating lasting memories along the way.” #cars #culture #people #autoculturas by @autoculturas
(2/3) “My time in New Orleans definitely influenced my decision to buy the SL500. I lived on Canal Street directly across from the @jetlifeapparel storefront founded by Curren$y, a hip-hop and car culture legend. That meant seeing a steady rotation of Chevys, vintage Mercedes, and other head-turners rolling down my block on any given day. It was inspiring. Not to mention, getting a compliment from @spitta_andretti on my SL500 will always be one of the highlights of my time in New Orleans. The car community there is really welcoming, diverse, and deeply connected to the culture around it. I attended a few meets on Canal Street and near City Park, and the energy was great every time. What I appreciated most was how naturally cars and music intertwined throughout the city. New Orleans already has such a rich musical identity, and that only deepened my appreciation for the connection between driving and the right soundtrack. A perfect Saturday looked something like this: top down in the SL500 with Sade playing through the speakers, grabbing an outdoor coffee at The Bean Gallery, stopping by Domino Sound record store for a little crate digging, and ending the day with live jazz and Creole cuisine on Frenchmen Street. It’s hard to beat that.” #cars #culture #people #autoculturas by @autoculturas

(1/3) “The story begins with my upbringing. Growing up, my home was filled with the sounds of funk, soul, and R&B. That sparked an appreciation for all things classic; including Black cinema, ’90s fashion, and iconic convertibles. From Caine’s Fox Body Mustang GT in Menace II Society to Mitch’s Saab 900 Turbo in Paid in Full, I was drawn to the cultural moments those cars helped define. So when the opportunity came to own a pristine 1998 SL500, it felt meant to be. What makes this car special to me is how effortlessly it blends Bruno Sacco’s timeless design with technology that was well ahead of its time. Every drive feels like an occasion. And after all, any car with Tupac’s stamp of approval is a winner in my book.“ Join us tomorrow for part 2; where we talk more about Brandon’s story, and car culture from New Orleans to Atlanta. #cars #culture #people #autoculturas by @autoculturas
