Escalade IQ: There’s big… and then there’s Escalade IQ big.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ takes everything people already associate with the Escalade — size, presence, unapologetic luxury, and it electrifies it. Literally.

This thing weighs over 9,000 pounds, packs up to 750 horsepower, and still manages a claimed 460 miles (740 km) of range from a battery pack that’s basically the size of a small apartment.

Inside, it’s less “SUV interior” and more rolling first-class lounge. A massive 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display stretches across the dash, there’s available Super Cruise hands-free driving, and the optional executive second row basically turns the back seat into business class.

And yet, somehow, Cadillac made this electric skyscraper of an SUV hit 0–60 mph in under five seconds. Which is frankly absurd when you remember it weighs more than some delivery vans.

Is it excessive? Absolutely.
But the Escalade has never been about subtlety.

Spending some time this week with @gmccanada ⚡ The Sierra EV Denali looks like it drove straight out of a Transformers movie — bold, commanding, and with more to it than meets the eye, just like any good Autobot.

There’s something menacing about a murdered-out diesel truck. The 2025 Silverado High Country Midnight Edition doesn’t just show up, it makes an entrance. Black wheels, black badging, black steps, black everything. If Jason Statham needed to tow 9,500 lbs, this would be his ride.

Under the hood is the 3.0L Duramax diesel; 305 hp, 495 lb-ft, smooth, quiet, and efficient at 9.9 L/100km combined. It pulls like a freight train but doesn’t sound like one.

Inside, it’s more boardroom than job site: ventilated leather, Bose audio, a 13.4” Google-powered screen, 15” HUD, and even Super Cruise so the truck can drive itself while you unwrap a protein bar.
